mattingly
I loved this episode's title, "The Laws of Inferno Dynamics." And this may be my favorite Coulson quote ever: "You're drunk on power, or drinking your own Kool-Aid, or drunk on Power-Ade, or whatever." Bazza
I do like Coulson's line about electric sheep.
zslane
It was a little too clever by half, though. He said it in response to, "She thinks?" when it would have worked better had it been in response to, "She dreams?"
Joe Walsh
Ah, geez. Here we go again! I'm disappointed they decided to go with the most hackneyed storyline possible (evil robot) and to return to the betrayal well yet again. I just want to see SHIELD being awesome and fighting the good fight. Sure, they have to go with events in the MCU, but after the whole, boring, dragged-out Ward storyline, do they really need to have a is-he-or-isn't-he storyline about the current director? Do they have to make Aida evil? The answer is, no, they don't. They're just being lazy.
DasBroot
I can agree with that. I'm impressed that they've resisted the genre dominating route of 'monster/mystery of the week' for the most part - but I think they could benefit from a little more of it right now. Shows use it because it works, in the long run, with season arcs taking up less than half the run time to provide continuity. The senator/watch dog connection is a fine 5 - 10 minutes of run time season arc to put in the background. Stopping dangerous unregistered Inhumans committing crimes could fill the rest. Do they have to make Aida evil? The answer is, no, they don't. They're just being lazy. I don't think Mace is evil. He is a politician, and Coulson has to deal with the fact he's trying to establish some authority over the new SHIELD. Saw Aida turning evil a mile away. Didn't anyone think to erase the "Giant Book of Evil" from her memory? Maybe just reboot her? Still, she's better then Ghost Rider. Adios, Robby. Cassandra
I wonder if anyone from Kamar-Taj is going to come collect the thing a the end of the storyline. Does he ride a Karmachameleon?
Joe Walsh
Saw Aida turning evil a mile away. Didn't anyone think to erase the "Giant Book of Evil" from her memory? Maybe just reboot her? The really sad thing is that's exactly what was discussed just before telling her to read the book: all they'd have to do is reboot her. But, they haven't. They haven't monitored her for evilness. They don't have her under surveillance. Nothing.
zslane
Because apparently Mace is the only one who remembers Ultron...

Grailknight
Once you ignore the the big plot blindspot, this was a good episode,

zslane
Well at least the writers had the good sense to explain that AIDA's programming was updated by Radcliffe to learn from the Darkhold, so that when she read its contents, she would be capable of altering her own code based on what she found within. That explains a lot (for me anyway). I also loved Mac's fatality move!
Matt the Bruins
Yeah, give an advanced android the ability to change its own operating parameters and the most dangerous book of black magic on the planet—what could possibly go wrong? Joe Walsh
I loved the Apple ][ cameo. As for the story, it was just "meh" to me. I just don't like this story arc at all, really. Internal group conflict is so over-done. Cassandra
zslane
I loved the old floppy disks making an appearance. Just the fact that Fitz could cobble together a backup system from late-70s era hardware warmed my heart.

Pattern Ghost
So, is Inhumans going through terrigenesis a second time a thing in the comics now, or are they just grafting on secondary mutations from the mutants?

Or maybe his mutant inhuman power is to regenerate...with a new and different power that would have saved him from whatever killed him last time. Pattern Ghost
That sounds like a cross between Doomsday and Croyd Crenson.
