DasBroot
Great visualisation on 'pushing' a power last night. Glad they didn't drag things out too long with last week's reveal. Also nice to see some mileage out of the Triskelion 'set' from Winter Soldier. It's so nice when a multi-million dollar movie can loan a tv show its leftovers. zslane
Daisy must have been really pumped up with adrenaline because she didn't seem to be in much pain after using her powers like she did, despite not having her bracers on. And I guess Simmons wasn't really bleeding out the way LMD Coulson said she was. You just can't trust character dialogue anymore these days... I love how so completely Mad Scientist this is all getting...a detached head remote-controlling a robot body! Yes!
Cassandra
I think they're ripping off NTSF: SD: SUV now.
Clonus
Daisy must have been really pumped up with adrenaline because she didn't seem to be in much pain after using her powers like she did, despite not having her bracers on. That's not terribly surprising assuming she was healed up. The damage she was doing to herself was a cumulative thing. She was using her powers for months before they started to catch up with her. zslane
I suppose. But Simmons made a point out of reminding Daisy that she didn't have them on, suggesting that she expected the use of Daisy's powers to cause distress worth warning her about. This set up an expectation in the viewer, which was then abandoned in narrative. That just felt a little clumsy to me, writing-wise.
Cassandra
Okay, in season one we met the team who went on various missions, and we caught up in the HYDRA uprising. One of the team members was a double agent, we found out how Coulson came back to life, and the main villain was John Garrett, a cyborg SHIELD agents turned HYDRA mastermind. In season two things go bad from the first episode when they kill off Lucy Lawless! Bringing her back in a flashback only makes things worse. Coulson is director of a SHIELD which is hiding out, we learn Skye's origin, meet her bad tempered Dad, and the big bad is her Mom who wanted to create a world of Inhumans. The team tries to stop her, but ultimately fails when anyone who eats fish, takes fish oil pills, or gets rain on turns into an Inhuman. On the plus side we get Ian and Bobbie who had some fun. Bad side Edward James Olmos shows up to slow things down, and they trade Howling Commando Legacy Tripp for Mac who's acting style can best be described as "Golem-like". In season three Gemma returns from the world of the HYDRA God, and Powers Boothe is wasted in a role that only exploits his appearance in Marvel's The Avengers. Ward becomes an Alien. Daisy and Lincoln play Saturn Girl and Lightning Boy and say a teary good bye like we're suppose to care, and she goes rogue. Now we have half the season with a second tier Ghost Rider who drives off into the sunset, and now we have the threat of Robots and a virtual reality which will do something and might endanger someone, but it's not clear where their going with this. Half the team falls into a trap, Maybot blows up the base because she loves Coulson, and Daisy and Jemma enter VR where HYDRA rules. Joss Whedon hates love and joy. zslane
That pretty much sums it up. And yet this show still beats the snot out of everything on the CW, except for maybe Supergirl, which doesn't get pwned only by virtue of being so charming and cheerful (and, of course, having Melissa Benoist). Joe Walsh
Joss Whedon hates love and joy. Maybe so, but this is Jed and Maurissa's baby, other than the pilot episode. Matt the Bruins
Christopher R Taylor
I think Joss still has creative power, as the executive producer.

Joe Walsh
I'm having too much fun with Legion to worry much about SHIELD's troubles at the moment.
Cassandra
Is "Let's get it over with" close enough? Agreed. If the Framework is the regrets the characters have, I have a few ideas. Simmons regrets that Fitz sacrificed himself for her when they were trapped at the bottom of the sea, so she is "Dead." Daisy regrets Ward turned out to be a bad guy. Coulson regrets not living a normal life. Fitz regrets not being with someone from his past. and May regrets killing the evil Child and not ending up surrendering and working for Hydra. Cassandra
Question: What's the big threat from the LMDs besides to the heroes? The season seems pointless.
Grailknight
Question: What's the big threat from the LMDs besides to the heroes? The season seems pointless. 1- The Darkhold is controlled by something that seems to be maleovent and right now the Darkhold controls the LMDs. 2- Aida gives existing in The Framework priority over living in reality. Major freedom of choice and sanctity of life issues arise from this. She has to keep adding people to The Framework to protect it from them. That means everybody will eventually be replaced. 3- Even if The Framework and the Darkhold were out of the picture, you don't want unsupervised AI's doing Top Secret work involving National and Planetary security. 4- Any project that "We have to keep secret from our friends or they'll shut us down" should be exposed and shut down or taken over by people who aren't so paranoid. All good points but does Aida plan to put anyone else in the Framework? Otherwise it's just an elaborate Virtual Reality game with a few players.
