Teen angst isn’t what I’m looking for in my superhero entertainment, and that’s what the ads for this show conveyed to me. Same thing with the Runaways. Our parents are evil!" and having to work together while dealing with the death of one of their group at the hands of said group of evil parents. The drama is largely derived (I'd say wholly, but I'm sure someone would toss out a counter example) from pretty realistically built up group dynamics.
