[Police brutality] American injustice, yet again.

My impression is that antifa (not really an organization) is less responsible for anything than far-right "accelerationists" and police provocateurs.

Of the last two - the first want to spark a civil/race war, while the second want to create an excuse to crack down on the peaceful protesters, while reinforcing the "outside agitator" narrative. The accelerationists actually mostly seem to be outsiders.

Obviously neither are on the side of the protesters.

References? Lots of images and anecdotes of unidentified, usually armed, white guys behaving strangely.

EDIT: also supported by media reports like the one Old Man posted up thread.

Best of luck to you all.

They railed him, turned his car over and then set it on fire. He's lucky to be alive. Conflicting reports on whether or not he was arrested or let go. Police hauled him out of there before someone got the idea to stab him with his own arrow.

This depresses and discourages me in ways that a pandemic and recession never could.  Over and over and over again for, what, 50-60 years?  And we're going to pretend to do something about it, and then a few years later there's another string of dead bodies of people of color strewn about by people ostensibly employed to protect and serve them.  ENOUGH.

The protestors need strong and legitimate leadership advocating for crystal clear goals. I worry that they'll eventually be "put down" by the government and we'll therefore be left with another chapter of the United States of America's history where nothing of substance was achieved.
