Joe Walsh
I see that Champions Complete is something like the 4e BBB, but I can't tell if the 6e Champions product is along the same lines or if it's a genre book. And how much of the info from the 6e product Champions Universe is in either of those books?
CaptnStrawberry
I recently got back into Champions and this confused me a bit, also (I now have CC in hard copy and the other two as pdfs). The HERO veterans can weigh in, but yes the 6e Champions is a genre guide, sort of a GM manual and basically an update of Aaron Allston's classic 5e genre book of the same name. Champions Universe is (as you would think) a tour of the many events, locations, organizations and characters in the game universe. CC has a chapter that distills the advice in the Champions genre book. There is minimal duplication of Universe as afar as I can tell, only some of the character write-ups are in CC.
