Yeah, but I kinda feel like he's been turned into the Joker minus the white-face and rictus. I know that the Joker is DC's most popular villain, but does that mean every DC arch-villain must ultimately become an avatar of him? Arrow is petering out with it's bargain bin group of heroes. I'm surprised they didn't add Scrooge McDuck to the team. UNCLE SCROOGE?? Well, I don't think just being a ruthless killer is enough to draw equivalency to the Joker. Quite apart from their respective motifs, Joker's crimes are the equivalent of someone shooting craps. Luthor's crimes are always a chess game.

His ability to formulate, prepare, and execute phenomenally intricate plans in The Dark Knight notwithstanding, I get your point. I guess I view such a casual disregard for killing anyone and everyone who is even remotely "in the way" to be a psychotic Joker trait rather than a ruthless Lex Luthor trait. When they both get painted with the same extreme sociopath brush, the finer distinctions become harder to discern, at least for me.
Cassandra
Tonight we found out all the things that Lex Luthor has been doing behind the scenes for the last two years. I'm betting he was the one Lockwood was talking to on the phone in his car.
zslane
It's good to finally see them tying the Red Daughter storyline together with the Children of Liberty storyline. And Jon Cryer is growing on me as Lex.
Cassandra
Good episode but naming a Ticonderoga after Yosemite? Was there a battle of Yosemite in Supergirl's Earth?
Cassandra
Nice using the name Linda Lee, Supergirl's original secret identity.
Cassandra
Lex Luthor has taken President Baker's place. During the Red Daughter attack he switched places explaining him loosing Agent Liberty on the Alien Population to cause chaos. Just a theory. Shiva13
I have been having fun with Supergirl. I have been watching it on the CW app. Watching it is one of the bright spots of my week. Cassandra

I just wonder how they're going to get rid of Red Daughter after this season's story arc is done with her.

zslane
That would be kinda harsh. They are making her a somewhat sympathetic character who is merely misguided, having been brainwashed by Lex Luthor. Having her explode seems an ill-fitting fate. BoloOfEarth
I find myself thinking of the Lois and Clark episode where Lex Luthor created a clone of Superman (who was misguided, having been brainwashed by Lex Luthor). In the end, the cloning process made his physiology unstable and he died. Edit to add: The funniest thing to me was seeing Lex give Superman a piggy-back ride and reading him bedtime stories. zslane
"Cloning" in comics isn't cloning in the scientific sense. It is a borrowed term that actually means "magical duplication". As such, it is impossible to predict how these so-called clones will behave since the "process" that made them is based entirely on handwavium and writer fiat. Cassandra
Lena knows but I think she'll get over it. The Monitor brings back Lex so he can hopefully take part in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Next season Leviathan, a group of assassins led by Talia al Gul may be the main villains, and hopefully she'll be played by Lexa Doig. zslane
I don't know about badass, but I would definitely say the jumpsuit is sexier (Melissa wears is very well). The bangs, however, are neither badass nor sexy. They are just awful.
