Vita

Olivia Combs was celebrating her 96th birthday at home alone when she heard a faint knock on her door. When she opened it no one was there, but a small white box was on the welcome mat. She brought it into her sitting room and opened it to reveal a golden necklace with a letter V pendant covered in odd markings. She felt an irrestible compulsion to put on the necklace and when she did she was instantly transformed into a younger woman wearing a costume. Her mind was suddenly full of vague broken memories but the name Vita kept coming up again and again. She felt vibrant and powerful and as she rose form her chair she ended up leaping up and through her roof and landing hundreds of feet away. She soon discovered she had vast strength and could resist a great deal of damage to her body. She also seemed to have a vitality force that she could generate that could heal herself and others through touch. She has begun acting as a superhero while attempting to piece together mystery of the origin of the necklace and what exactly the nature of her transformation is.

I don't know what happened to the picture--my apologies.  Anyway, I like this version of the character the best, so Quackhell gets to post a pic in response to my disappeared pic.

Debaculous Fiasco

He is a member of the Chaos Clowder also known as the Grim Glaring, a group of cats who possess superior intelligence and can wield bad luck magic that can cause all manner of calamity. They are countered by the Power Paws a collection of good luck cats who try to prevent the disasters and schemes initiated by the Clowder. His human familiar, Lucian Somerset, carries out mundane tasks and provides Fiasco with tasty yum yums and chin tickles.

Mine wasn't going to generate a new art winner, but Quackhell gets this one also.

Okay, what is the story with this...brain?

Mentus.jpg

This is Professor Yorick VonDerghist, who was kidnapped by Doctor Destroyer and had his brain removed and kept alive for study. After a super team saved him, he was eventually given a manipulation exoskeleton and fought crime as The Crimson Brain. In spite being a brain in a jar, he has yet to develop full fledged psionic powers. He relies on his artificial bodies high strength and resistance along with his incredible intelligence and a slight ego problem.

Some villains are, how can I put this ?, rather precious or thin skinned. So when Megiddio was mocked by actor Neil Ripsworth on Howard Stern's show, the villain lost his rag completely. Instead of merely kidnapping the actor and torturing him before a slow gruesome death Meggido blew up a two block radius just to be sure that he got Neil. Neil surprisingly was found still alive among the rubble by rescue services and heroes who raced to the scene searching for survivors.

Neil was rushed to hospital but his situation was deteriorating. One of the heroes was able to bend reality just a bit but this would only postpone the inevitable. The heroes were able to come up with a solution but they put it to Neil's consciousness first. They could save his brain but nothing else. Neil who had been shocked by the devastation agreed and so it was that he was transferred into a new cyborg body. Calling himself Hamlet Neil has taken up heroing and is being trained by the heroes and will try to find out what happened and why. Neil has a tendency to quote from plays but Shakespeare's work is all most people recognise.

Meggido in the meantime is amazed that no-one knows he was responsible and has no idea that Neil still lives

Flexra Mentalla was once a 90 pound weakling.  When her boyfriend was picked on by the bullies of the beach, she sent away for one of the Buddie Mussels guide book for Mussel Masterie. When her boyfriend scoffed and left her, she started to read and follow the techniques inside the book herself. She became Flexra Mentalla, Heroine Of The Beach. Now she stops crimes by flexing her biceps in strange ways. She is also superhumanly strong and tough.

Based loosely on the Flex Mentallo character.

The future Mrs. Bushido?

I am going to bow out on this one: I have this character in my campaign, actually.  Well, in a few years.  The current "strongest super in the world" title is held by a sixty-eight-year-old woman.  I have to bow out because I can cheat and just slap in her origin story.

Amy Schutzer, once a female wrestler known as Wondra, ended up in the hospital with severe fractures over her body due to illegal moves by her opponent. She was told she'd heal, but would be severely limited in her movements; she'd never be what she was again. Doctor Helena Amory of England heard of her plight and contacted Amy. She knew of a respectable geneticist who was working on an experimental serum that would regenerate her body and was looking for someone who was willing to test it. Amy agreed and met with the geneticist, Dr Robert Harvard. Harvard informed her of the risks, which she would have to agree to before proceeding. The risks were that it would regenerate her body, but that it would also likely give her superpowers. Should it fail, Amy would be no better off and millions of dollars of research would be fruitless. What Harvard was trying to achieve was a serum that would heal broken bodies but not give superpowers. As part of the test, Amy was forbidden to speak of the research to protect Harvard from agencies greedy for it or even supervillains. Amy agreed to everything.

It was merely a few hours after the serum was given and Amy's fractured body was healed, even better than better. As expected by Dr. Harvard, she also gained superpowers, superpowers that would prevent her from ever being a wrestler again. She was enormously strong, easily able to push a train engine with one hand and although she wasn't invulnerable, she healed superhumanly fast. Despite not being to return to wrestling, Amy considered being given a new life more than worth the cost. Still, Amy thought, Wondra would not be forgotten. No, if anything, Wondra would be in the news, on the lips of everyone. Wondra was now the newest superhero around and the media loved her!

Wondra is in the league of the superstrong heroes in strength, combined with incredible regeneration and her wrestling skills, she is a formidable match for many villains stronger than her.

Black Diamond

Angel Reece was a professional bodybuilder and fitness model who was hyper competitive and no stranger to dosing to get an edge. She decided to take things to the next level by taking a Superhuman Growth Hormone synthesized from the blood of the superhero Barrage. The SGH worked all too well as it reacted to her genetics to drastically change her size and mass virtually overnight as well as granting her superstrength and steel hard skin. She was immediately banned from competition and decided to become muscle for hire.

She ended up being the bodyguard and enforcer for Tommy "Tango" Scarlotti of the Scarlotti crime family. It was a good arrangement until Tommy made a pass at Reece and she sent him through two walls of his penthouse apartment. She now has a contract on her head by Tommy's father "Saint" Vincent Scarlotti. She still works for hire but has considered the idea of joining a hero team to give her some safety in numbers.

Purple Reign

This overconfident individual comes from the Mid West. He is a brick who uses metal gloves to punch opponents who can turn into vapour or gas. They also serve as conductors giving him more strength and vitality if someone is foolish enough to try and electrocute him which has dismayed some smart-alec heroes who have tried just that tactic. so ladies remember the name you'll be screaming it later.

(Think Rick Rude as a supervillain)

Dash Rockwell is a former bodybuilder, professional wrestler and world class surfer whose life really got interesting when he became the bodyguard for Doctor Stanton Stargrove. He had saved Stargrove from members of The Sect on Scorpio Island which Rockwell had ended up on after there after a para-sailing mishap. He joined Doc on many crazy adventures over the years and when some associates of Stargrove decided to form a hero group he was recruited. Stargrove made him a belt that harnesses Uniwaves to give him enhanced strength and speed. It does not make him impervious to harm however, so he employs steel gauntlets and body armor.

Never let it be said that Dr Nymax! does not have a sense of humour. He has long been aware of Dr Clement Blatchford and his Omnitron and the fact that Blatchford is jealous. So why not have some fun with him ?

So he spoke with The Fae and between them they came up with an idea. How about an arch-foe for Clement ? It would need the right moment and the right person but still.

Thus it came to pass that Clement's employers kidnapped an heiress from a charity gala and brought along her boyfriend who they mistook for a bodyguard. Said boyfriend was a bit of a daredevil and a Bruce Lee fan but lacked the courage to say how he felt to his love. However our  resident Mad Scientist and The Fae can bend the rules so they knew what Blatchford and his employers did not. It came to pass that there was an 'accident' and the boyfriend 'fell' into the Omnitorn which then started working. The machine changed him into an anthropoid llama. The unconscious body was taken away for disposal but burst into sudden life when the heiress was threatened taking down the goons with martial arts. He then used a bike to rescue the heiress and return her to safety. His identity is kept secret as he hunts down the villainous Dr Blatchford. He performs stunts and fights crime in the meantime.

He is Evel Llamneval.
