The Journal also reported that Trump told at least one aide to keep their own positive test results secret.

Covid-19 on Thursday while awaiting the findings from a more thorough coronavirus screening, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Trump received a positive result on Thursday evening before making an appearance on Fox News [Hannity] in which he didn’t reveal those results. Instead, he confirmed earlier reports that one of his top aides had tested positive for coronavirus and mentioned the second test he had taken that night for which he was negative.

Trump left his hospital room for a quick motorcade around the hospital, so he could wave to his supporters, then returned to his room. He appeared to be wearing a cloth mask rather than a N-95 mask.

James Phillips, an attending physician at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (and who is also the chief of disaster medicine at the George Washington University Department of Emergency Medicine) tweeted out:

"That Presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of COVID19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is astounding. My thoughts are with the Secret Service forced to play,"

"Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential 'drive-by' just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity,"

At least three members of the Secret Service were visible in the car with Trump.

Edit:

Phillips is continuing to tweet:

"This is the wrong message to be sending. This was a dangerous move. There is no medical benefit for this to have taken place.”

"Beyond the risk that was imparted on those Secret Service agents, volunteering or not, it’s the message that is sent to other people who are sick that it’s OK to go out."

Attorney General William Barr after claiming that he was refusing to quarantine in an effort to infect everyone at the Justice Department (paraphrasing), he has reversed himself and says he will quarantine for "several days".

Barr was walking around unmasked and shaking hands at the same White House event where all those others were apparently infected.

NBC News/WSJ poll shows Biden lead nationally after the debate increased from 8 points to 14 points.

Particularly significant, men 50 years and older showed 13-point advantage for Trump in the pre-debate NBC News/WSJ poll. After the debate, the new NBC News/WSJ poll shows a 1-point advantage for Biden (a 14 point gain for Biden among that group).

Before the debate, Biden was +4 among voters who were 65 years or old. After the debate, Biden was +27. That's a freaking +27 (which is a 23 point Biden gain among that group).

White voters with no college educate went from Trump +23 to Trump +14 (Biden gaining 9 points in that group).

More winning, apparently.

That poll was taken before the news broke that Trump has COVID.

In a poll taken the day the news broke, only 55% of Republicans found it "sad" that Trump had COVID. So not sure about how much of a sympathy bounce the president can expect from his health news.

I guess that makes sense on some level. Some Republicans don't like Trump. Of the ones who do like Trump, they think COVID is either a hoax or no worse than the flu.

How many people would be "sad" to find out their favorite presidential candidate had the flu...or be more motivated to go out to vote for him because he had the flu?

Multiple Secret Service agents are criticizing President Trump’s brief appearance in an SUV outside Walter Reed Medical Center Sunday evening, accusing the president of putting his protective detail in unnecessary danger.

“He’s not even pretending to care now”

"That should never have happened...The frustration with how we're treated when it comes to decisions on this illness goes back before this though. We're not disposable."

They just announced this morning the White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tested positive for COVID.

The administration will have to find a new person to lie to the press for at least the next two weeks.

Bizarrely, the announcement emphasized that McEnany had no advance knowledge of Hope Hicks' positive test before the news on that broke that Thursday.
