Got to disagree.  At least some progressives live in their own black and white world.  Different set of standards, sure, but can be equally intolerant and equally fantastic.

You are more than welcome to. Most of the jobs I've worked at had people of mixed political ideologies. In all cases, I found the left leaning individuals more grounded, realistic, and reasonable than the right leaning ones. This is of course merely anecdotal, but it has generally been my experience.

Utah Representative Chris Stewart has introduced the The Fairness and Accountability in Underwriting Chinese Institutions Act — or FAUCI Act — to help answer once and for all the question of whether COVID-19 was developed in a Chinese research laboratory.

Of course that's not the purpose of this act at all. It's all political posturing to throw meat to the "Let's Go Brandon!" mob. They won't find any definitive evidence either for or against linking COVID-19's origins to China without the cooperation of the Chinese government, which they know they'll never get.

Looks like they're kicking her out of the club ... even though she continues to be one of the most Conservative lawmakers in the House. Loyalty to Trump matters more than actually being a Conservative, I guess.

Wyoming GOP votes to no longer recognize Rep. Liz Cheney as a Republican

This may be the first step in the end of the Republican party. If Liz starts a new conservative party around classic conservative principles that is....

I'm hoping this will force the parties in (current power) to concede that they will probably be extinguished, and be forced to implement voting reform (like ranked choice) as a means of dodging/delaying the inevitable, establishing third party legitimacy because it will be the only way they remain relevant themselves...

I'll believe it when I see it.  She and Manchin can form the Conservative Pariah Caucus, population two.

Although they are collectively an order of magnitude less nuts than the mainstream GOP right now, I'm still not letting them use my name.

One can hope for it, but we have to see more pushback against Trumpism before I'll believe it has any real chance.  Perhaps I've missed them?  But I want to see more conservative denunciations of Cruz, of Hawley, of Boebert, of Greene.  Instead, we get Cheney excoriated by her House leaders and by her state party leaders.

Oh.

I should put that in quotes.  "Leaders."

My bad.

Just what the hell is this...meme? I saw it come up in the comment section for a Star Trek video (of all places) where someone mentioned Joseph Biden's decision to withdraw from Afghanistan.

At a Nascar event, apparently a large chunk of the crowd began to chant "F***K Joe Biden". A reporter there either thought they were actually praising the winner (Who was named Brandon) or tried to cover it up a bit for the censors. I suspect the former, at least at first. She claimed they were chanting "Let's Go, Brandon!"

So some on the right felt it was a good way to mock the mainstream media AND say '@### Joe Biden' in code, and thus it caught on.

One of the real dangers is that victory leads to backlash...I fear the total victory of progressives not for their policies, but for the backswing that comes after. I don't Want to see modern society rolled back to the 50's.....

50s of which century?

BTW:  I hadda look up where this piece of idiocy came from too.  It's the Aaron Rodgers form of bashing.

Well, taking a glass half full view of it, a guy who lives down the street from me had a "F*** Joe Biden!" flag and has changed it for a "Let's Go, Brandon!" flag, and I consider it a definite improvement.  This is particularly true since the guy's house is across the street from the playground of a public park, and I don't think the parent's of the kids that played there appreciated having to explain to their children why that word that they aren't allowed to say was on a flag next to the president's name.

Yep, some people are real classy.

“Sesame Street needs to go back to the time when a show was devoted to a letter in the alphabet, and not the latest woke fad," Matt Schlapp, the president of the Conservative Political Action Committee, wrote. "We all loved Bert and Ernie without the foggiest idea of the racial demographic they may have represented. Afterall [sic], Ernie is orange. The taxpayers deserve a big rebate. If PBS and NPR want to be in arms in the socialist movement, they need to pay their own way.”
