I think that if you start with any number larger than (2.71828....) and then repeatedly apply ln, then square root, then 10x in succession, you will end up (after a number of cycles of this, right after the 10-to-the-x operation) at the number above.  Haven't proved it yet, just goofing around with the programmable calculator.

Well, if you went to a number system where you were in base pi, then by definition pi would be exactly 10 in that system.  I don't think I have ever seen such a system developed or used, but in principle you could do it.  The integers bigger than 3 would all be nonrepeating decimals in that system, of course.
