ROFLOL!!! Not what I had in mind, but hilarious. We have no Wealth in our group on top of a lack of science and technology investigative support skills.

In return for stopping the Protectors during the Purifier Incident and saving the world. The Protector's built the Base-less Hollywood Knights a duplicate of their own Base.

Operating and Maintaining such a place requires Wealth/Money!!! Which we do not have. The above are suggestions for "Subsidizing Crime Fighting Activities" and Living Expenses like food, electricity, etc...

Greetings Programs, Player information update.

The GM deducts 1 out of every 10 character points awarded for the Groups Base, Vehicles, Followers (Base Security and Surveillance Robots), and Group Communications Devices. So basically its all on a layaway plan. ;)

The Contacts and Favors are awarded as Roleplaying Rewards and cost the PC's nothing unless they wish to improve them. ;)

Dependent NPC; Superhero Support. We have not recruited anyone yet, but Street Angel is pushing to recruit Tweaker, a mutant Technopath, sister of Hardcore, and member of the Mutant Underground. She would fill the Technology hole in our roster.

We had team set in Atlanta during the late 80's called Metaforce.

One the of team members negotiated a team sponsorship with Coca-cola. We reluctantly went along ic wise most of the team found it distasteful and dub the team member who pushed for it "Capt. Lunchbox". Sometimes to his face.

Though we did  a few promo tours. At least one game involved how we could use our powers or looks to promote product.

I was running a light elemental with holographic powers.

I see your team name is Hollywood Knights, and you're based in LA.  So, no movie / TV deal yet?  I'm kinda surprised.

I'm imagining a reality TV show - "Days With The Knights" - where a half-dozen normal people, tricked out with protective gear, assist the Hollywood Knights in the field as Squires.  I'm imagining security specialists, PIs, technicians, former CSI, PR flacks, media liaisons.  And each week, one Squire is voted off the team by the superheroes until there's one final winner.

As a GM, I'm seeing all types of fun plot hooks, ways to complicate the heroes' lives to justify the money the network will spend to help defray the team's operational costs.

You also missed public speaking gigs special effects and stunt work.

Beast boy played all of the animals in a doctor Doolittle movie because it was cheaper to color correct him than hire all those animals then make them talk with sfx.

There have been a number of super heroic stunt men being nigh invulnerable would certainly up the thrill level of stunts.

Other fun raising kind of depends on the members power sets.

A speedster could make a fortune doing rush production be that assembling props or placing thousands of mannequins for crowd scenes.

A telekinetic could replace wire work in Kung fu movies or just work as a safety officer.

Orbital flight even without superstrength would let you launch cube sets for a fraction of the cost if a rocket launch.

And I've always said magneto was an idiot he chose terrorism when his power was much more useful for making him the richest man on earth. Mutant acceptance is probably a lot easier to get when you can buy whole countries.

In the 2000 movie "The Specials" the team sold it's members images to a toy company for an 11% return on a line of action figures.  The deal fell through because of the liberties the toy company took with how the various members looked.  One was turned into a clown, another in a refrigerator, and another had Richard Dawson's head (a re-use from a line of "Hogan's Heroes" action figures from the 1970s).

In 4th edition The Champions Universe it was revealed that Victrix, an auto parts heiress funded the group with her Money: Well Off trust fund.

You don't have to spend money for something if you've spent points on it. It's effectively considered to be self-maintaining.

The point (pun intended) being that the team didn't spend points on it.  The base was donated to them by someone else.  (See post #3.)  So I can see the GM saying, "Well, unless you're willing to put some points into it yourselves, you're going to need something (e.g. Complications) to cover expenses."
