I never played Gargoyles before because I was stuck in DnDism of gargoykes being evil even though I loved the show. Has anyone played or used as a npc gsrgoyles? DShomshak Posted February 12, 2017 Report Share Posted February 12, 2017 I wrote up gargoyles as one of the races for my Fantasy Europa alternate-history campaign. Gargoyles were created centuries ago as a slave-race of guardians. They were not as contented with slavery as their creators hoped. Emancipation was aided when theologians became convinced that gargoyles had souls and were capable of salvation. Nobody decided to play a gargoyle, but at one point a colony of them helped the PCs deal with Satanic forces by transporting large quantities of holy water. So imagine a parade of gargoyles carrying casks of water while singing "Onward Christian Soldiers." (They were Lutheran gargoyles.)
