Cancer
Quote (With Brady’s loss on Sunday, the league’s leading passer is now 0-52 in terms of winning the Super Bowl — it has never happened.)
Logan D. Hurricanes
Eagles win Superbowl. The Dow crashes. Coincidence?

slikmar
someone on one of the post game shows mentioned a new trivia - How many defensive stops do you need to get to win a superbowl? 2, a fumble and stop hail mary pass.
Old Man
If you look at photos of the Hail Mary pass, there's six Eagles and one Patriot where the ball comes down. (I suppose Gronk might count as two Patriots.) Plenty of new trivia from this game. - Most offensive yardage of any NFL game in all of recorded history - Second-highest SB score (behind #39 in 1995) - Most missed PATs in a SB - Tied for most TD passes in a SB - First player to throw and receive a TD in a postseason game - Nick Foles has a better playoff win percentage than Tom Brady
Pariah
...and the Patriots join the Denver Broncos as the only franchises in NFL history to lose five Super Bowls.
death tribble
Which pleases Bills and Vikings fans probably more than you realise.

Old Man
McDaniels appears to have left the Colts at the altar, and will resume his Sith apprenticeship under the tutelage of Darth Hood.
Starlord
Wow, McDaniels completely bleeped the Colts. Almost as much as the Colts have bleeped themselves and their QB over the last couple years.
Pariah
My disdain for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is, of course, well documented. All told, I can't help but feel like the Colts dodged a bullet there. Sure, it sucks for the team short-term, and the embarrassment is going to sting for a while, but the last thing the Colts need is a coach who will do to that franchise what he did to Denver. Starlord
Apparently, there are several assistant coaches in Indy now already signed and have moved there to work with McDaniel's.
Pariah
Yeah, McD*******' agent went on record today to say that spurning the Colts would be "the biggest mistake of his professional career".
Starlord
Well, he pretty much trashed any goodwill he had built back up since Denver.

I was kind of hoping they'd be together. McDaniels and the Colts really do deserve each other.
Old Man
The assumption is that the Belichick era is almost over, and McDaniels was called back to kill him and become the Sith master eventually take over the HC job. edit: Almost forgot--McDaniels was fired by his agent earlier today. Badger
Usually the agent is the one being fired.
Starlord
Interestingly, the agent is also the agent for the Colts GM.

Pariah
One final thought on the 2017-18 season: Carson Wentz won five FCS titles with North Dakota State. Now, in his second year with the Eagles, he also has a Super Bowl ring. That means he has six rings in seven years. How many people--in any sport, at any level--can say that?
