Cancer
Looks like we're in for an ENSO-neutral or perhaps La Nina summer. Which is not good news for Florida.
Old Man
Irony. I like it thick. If it were a beer it would be Guinness. If it were a milkshake, you could leave the spoon sticking straight up out of it. If it were a fog, it'd cause a sixty car pileup. That kind of irony. tkdguy
Why is it in Star Trek whenever some Vulcan rejected logic and lack of emotion, he/she became fanatical and/or violent? Why couldn't they ever portray Vulcans who just wanted to boogie-woogie?

Cancer
My daughter has inherited both my wife's inability to put things away, and her inability to find things that haven't been put away.
tkdguy
A few nights ago, I had a dream about meeting the proprietor of a wine shop I frequented. The shop was destroyed in a fire last November, and I haven't seen him since. I was changing jobs in my dream, and I was saying goodbye to everyone, including the wine merchant and a couple of his employees, both young women. I saw a lot of the shops I frequented had shut down, and I realized there was no point in going back there. There was nothing left for me anymore. Lawnmower Boy
Yet another spectacular, lethal Canadian industrial accident. Any bets that we'll hear about corner cutting and negligence?
Cancer
Yet another spectacular, lethal Canadian industrial accident. Any bets that we'll hear about corner cutting and negligence?Well, since it was a train operated by a US-owned railroad, it's just business as usual. Cancer
Yet another spectacular, lethal Canadian industrial accident. Any bets that we'll hear about corner cutting and negligence?Wow, the train was unmanned at the time: supposedly the engineer set the brakes and left the train. (I'm going from what Wikipedia has to say about it as I type this, so much salt must be taken.) Sounds like a great beginning for a movie. Cancer
I am just about certain that the cat cannot see the spasms induced in the iPad screen when he lounges on it, which leads me yet again to revise upward my opinion of cats' diabolical natures. death tribble
Mel Smith, one of the original cast members of Not the Nine O'Clock News, died on Friday at the age of 60. He had not been seen much after the Smith and Jones series had finished although he had been active. It is such a shame. RIP
