They take the King of the Mountains jersey and Michel Kwiatkowski takes the stage as he and team mate Carapaz (new KOTM) roll over the line together.Elsewhere Team Jumbo Visma made sure Roglic got in ok and that no-one who mattered got bonus seconds. death tribble Posted September 20, 2020 Report Share Posted September 20, 2020 Sam Bennett won the last stage of the Tour de France racing into Paris. It has been a changing of the guard. Chris Froome was not present. Geraint Thomas was not present. Bernal looked as if he would do what he did last year and pull out the win in the mountains but he faded and pulled out before the end. It looked as if Roglic would take the whole thing only to lose it on the penultimate stage, the Time Trial. So there has been a different winner each year for the last four years. Tadej Pogacar wins the whole race, the Young Rider and the King of the Mountains. Only Eddy Merckx rivals this but he won the Green Jersey as well and the Young Rider was not contested in his time. What was notable was Peter Sagan being eclipsed all the way through. Sam Bennett moved from Bora (Sagan's team) in order to race in the Tour. And he beats his old team mate to win his first Green Jersey. One of the good things was Richie Porte getting onto the podium as 3rd after falling short in previous years and being knocked out of the race by injuries.
