New (old) competition for HERO

Recommended Posts

Huh. "..original author Lou Zocchi"? The game is by Donald Saxman.  Zocchi published it.

Superhero 2044 had some interesting concepts, and is definitely the granddaddy of all superhero RPGs, but it always seemed more like a PBM design than a tabletop game, with the schedules and all.

I wonder if Steve Perrin's adding powers to it, or sticking with Saxman's power-free design. It sounds like the latter, from the description.

I'll be interested to see what comes of this. I'm not in the market for a new Superhero 2044, and definitely not in the market for a card game based on it.  But I'll be interested to learn what Steve Perrin & co. do to the system.

What's next, a Supergame update?

I have to say that it was this game that put me onto superhero RPGs and Point buy characters...I am thinking that I want to buy this.

Doc

Went to the link and the first thing I thought was Black Panther?  I bet they had troubles with Marvel.
