Droid Brains (Star Wars)

So, we are playing the Star Wars universe. Droids are awesome. I like the idea of Han Solo wiring droid brains in the Falcon to help pilot.

So how would you design a Star Wars "Artoo Detoo" Astromech droid brain in this system? If you have a writeup, let's see it!

It could be as simple as a Radio Perception/Transmission connection between the droid and the ships computer...all you're really doing is offloading the astrogation calculations to the droid.

You can go down fancier (and more expensive) roads and experiment with telepathy and mind control...seems like overkill though,

There are a couple of ways this could be bought, depending on which mechanical effect you want. If all they do is help pilot the ship (monitoring its subsystems and such), they could simply be bought as Skill Levels with the appropriate roll. If you want them as characters (NPCs, probably) they could each be a Computer or AI that provides complimentary skill rolls for appropriate tasks.

I lean towards the simpler approach, but YMMV.

Simply give the droid the relevant skills like combat piolet and navigation.  How they interface with the ships control is more a matter of special effect instead of a game mechanic.  The ship is probably actually controlled by a computer and the controls are to allow a human to interact with the ship.  The droid is simply bypassing the controls and directly communicating with the computer.  This could be done by some sort of physical plug they attach to, or some sort of wireless connection.  The wireless connection could require some sort of radio transmit and listen.
