dsatow Posted December 21, 2017 Author Report Share Posted December 21, 2017 Babylon Stadium Babylon Stadium, as it is currently called, is home to two major sports teams. The Babylon City Behemoths are a NFL team and is currently ranked 8th in the nation. Controversy seems to swirl around the players as many are accused of steroid use. In doesn't help that on average, the Behemoths are the heaviest team in the league and are prone to be in the tabloids for rowdy behavior. This may all be coincidence as a major local sponsor is Adam's Rib and Eve's Apple Pie Restaurants who comp all the teams meals. The other team is the Babylon City Dragons, a professional baseball club. The Dragons do not have the best record in their division, having never won a division title. The games are nicknamed "drag on games" because while their defense is good, they hardly ever seem to score. Attendance to the games are low, but the owners keep promising a great next year with a new crop of rookies. Currently the city is looking to sell the naming rights to the Stadium. dsatow Posted May 4, 2018 Author Report Share Posted May 4, 2018 Babylon City AR/VR Center Originally a large laser tag/paintball center in the late 80s/early 90s, the center has been revamped by Facebook and Electronic Arts as a new age arcade. The center is a video arcade in the old sense of coin operated games ($1 coins) but the screens and computational power of these arcade boxes are on the level of many home gaming rigs. The pièce de résistance of the center is the stadium. Using an AR configurable environment, players traipse through using VR glasses and AR equipped equipment a life sized game. The cost of running through a 15 minute game is $420 for up to 8 players and the entire stadium can hold 3 sets of players at a time. The technology of the stadium at the next level or two higher is said to be used by special operations by the US Military. The Pentagon has not confirmed nor denied that the technology is being used. Studies in genetics, steroids, and hormone therapy are the most common but general health studies are also done. Several prominent athletes have undergone treatment at the building running rampant doping allegations. Protests outside by both the religious and the socially conscious are so frequent that they are no longer news. Rumor persist that one company in the building is attempting to create a super soldier though none of the companies will admit to being involved in anything but the purest of motives.
