Marcus Impudite
The perennial damsel in distress of the campaign world, Helpless Holly, is once again in peril. This time, an alien monster has captured her and dragged her back to its lair, located in Campaign City's abandoned subway tunnels. What does the creature want with her? Shuffle a standard deck of playing cards, draw one card, and check below: Hearts: It wants to mate with Holly for some reason. Diamonds: It finds Holly adorable and wants to keep her as a pet. Spades: It's going to eat Holly for lunch. Clubs: It's going to cocoon Holly and lay its eggs on her Aliens style. Joker or anything without a suit: draw again. WWYCD? Cassandra
Hearts: Love Holly and wants her all to himself. Diamonds: Kidnaps Holly for ransom. Spades: Uses Holly as bait in a Death Trap. Clubs: Uses Holly to trap the hero with her being the trap. Joker: Holly is replaced by a Double. Marcus Impudite

Rescue Holly and tell the creature he should've tried online dating before resorting to something so gauche as straight up kidnapping. phydaux
Quasar - Track the villain back to his lair, alert the rest of the Local Hero Team, crash the hideout, and rescue Holly. Again. Give her a STERN lecture about not getting kidnapped so much. Shadowhunter - Track the villain back to his lair, sneak into the hideout all alone, ambush the bad buy, and rescue Holly. Again. "Escort" Holly back to her place to make sure she gets home safe and sound, then swoop in for a little "My hero" nookie action. AGAIN. 'Cause let's face it, she isn't getting kidnapped over and over by accident. Holly is a FREAK for superheroes. Mystica - "So this is outer space alien, no extra dimensional alien? No eldritch horror? Go bother punch-punch, boom-boom heroes. Mystica has universe to save from eldritch horrors. Better you not know. Here, take cookie. Is good. Now go." steriaca
Paradox Timely - Was Holly supposed to be kidnapped yet again in this period of time? No or yes, it does not matter. Sneak in, free her, then once Holly is safe, disguise herself as Holly and take her place, cause Paradox Timely is a freek like that. dsatow
How about ... The villain kidnaps Holly and sends out a ransom for money. But the villain is hungry and decides he can't wait, so thinks about eating her. Her screams of horror amuse and arouse the villain who decides he likes Holly. He'll keep her around and implant some eggs in her so he can always remember his beloved pet after he eats her. Meanwhile those pesky heroes have the ransom and he could use the money for a new hideout (keeping a pet like Holly for a short time requires a big pad not to mention space for the little ones.) and sets a trap for the heroes as they come to give up the money. phydaux
Quote Shadowhunter/Paradox Timely? Not that there's anything wrong with that. Paradox Timely is female by birth, shapeshifter by nanomachines, and omisexual by choice. Shadowhunter just enjoys the perks of the job. And if that includes occasional nookie with a female vigilante, villain, or groupie, well, that's a sacrifice he's willing to make.

(not wanting to put non-fighters get close to him and into added danger on his account and whatnot) Edit: Ok, that would be the official reason. The real reason might be more along the lines of "please, don't stick me with the ditzy girl"

Badger
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Edit: To be fair, his "ideal mate" would be someone who was as committed to the fight as he was, and they could go back to back against a horde of foes on his first date with her. Cassandra
Holly tries to prove she's clever so she challenges the hero to find her. Unfortunately what Holly doesn't know is that she was accidentally exposed to a substance that will kill her in a few hours unless she gets treatment. dsatow

Cassandra
Holly goes back in time and accidentally causes the Axis to win World War Two. dsatow
The heroes go to Holly's place and find its a jumbo wreck. X Supervillain is in town and had vowed to torture the hero's loved ones. Meanwhile, Holly has finally calmed down that the Eagle's won the Superbowl and has headed back to her apartment to clean up after the tantrum she made when the Patriots lost.
