Watchman Mk. IV
Man, I thought he was too hard to ever die. I guess he had permission. RIP, Gunny.
death tribble
He got cast in Full Metal Jacket after the director was impressed by his training of people. The training bit with him going fullbore is classic.

Ragitsu
What sort of man was he during his day-to-day life? I am mostly familiar with Ermey through his cinematic roles.
Cassandra
All his fans should see The Siege of Firebase Gloria. He wrote some additional dialogue and you can tell what it was. He played the President of the United States in The Omega Code 2.

I have to admit that I use jackwagon around the office whenever I can because of this commercial. Very few people know the meaning let alone the reference, it still makes my chuckle anyways. Seriously, you could ask the marketing department, they can most certainly vouch for my use of the word.
sinanju
My favorite line of his from any of his movies was when he played a detective interrogating the protagonist of the film (I don't remember the movie well, or the hero). They've been at it for hours and the hero won't confess, and wants to leave. Gunny explains why that's not gonna happen. Gunny: "I'm divorced with no charisma! I've got NO PLACE to be!" Logan D.
