For every famous person making the ultimate "I quit". there are thousands of "ordinary" people, whose lives are just as valuable to their loved ones even though they never made the papers in their lives, deciding to end their lives. I was almost among them on several occasions and am still plagued by the "ideation" (a psychiatric term I don't quite understand despite my long personal experience with it) that leads to that kind of thinking about my life. Often I even think my family and friends would be happier without me -- which is, of course, a damned lie I tell myself without even wanting to.
