What do fans think when the best player on their team heads to North America to play in the NHL? I've been watching and listening to the Toronto Maple Leafs so far this season. They give every impression of being for real this year. The same might not be said for the Vancouver Canucks. They got off to a nice start in terms of record, but they don't really pass the "eye test". I wouldn't say they were missing the Sedin Twins because they had significantly tailed off at the end of their careers, but the young stars on the team are not quite ready to contend. This season the 'Nucks might lose, a lot, and one hopes they will find talent in the draft for the future. It worked for the Leafs, and now Toronto is a destination for players.
