Christopher
"How to make everything" is a youtube channel. The goal is to make stuff from scratch. It started 3 years ago, with him making a modern sandwitch. It only cost 1500 Dollar and took 6 months. Most of the cost was getting the salt and most of the time is waiting for the plants to grow. He touches a lot of everyday objects: Soap. Paper/Papyrus/Pergament. Refrigation by cutting ice. Of wich most would be classical adventuring gear. He even recently started a sub-series on "making weapons". Indeed "casting a Bronze Sword" just came out yesterday. I thought this might be a interesting resource for GM's. If you ever need to figure out how a smithy should look like, there is a lot of information in there. drunkonduty and Brian Stanfield
bluesguy
Funny my players were just involved in a place where the village was doing quite well from the malachite that was being mined from the nearby hills until they started mining to close to a Kobold lair. The kobolds and humans had gotten along for a long time but the miners stepped over a boundary and caused problems. There was also a large smelting operation in town smelting the malachite into copper.
