Basically this would be a mystic martial artist- a teenage version of the character who happens to be an American exchange student in Japan. CES This is a good advice. This is a series more about a "normal with superpowers" more then "a superhero doing everyday stuff". I remember reading a Lara Croft/Witchblade crossover once and the Witchblade narrated herself as "I am the Mulder and Scully of this department", because she has to deal with Supernatural crime on top of her normal police work.
