Superdrafts 2019: To Boldly Go....

So . . . I see three possibilities. I could administer a fairly straightforward supers draft in April: Five heroes, location, two villains, two options.

Or someone else could run one in April, if someone has an idea they'd like to try.

Or we could take April off and shoot for May.

Well?

Unless someone can step up and start something early next week, probably so.

Sadly, I have 320 hours of lab time starting next Tuesday, so I con't be the one to step up and start something this time. I may be able to participate, should someone else figure out something to run, but even that's not guaranteed.

Any takers?

I wish I could participate because these have been amazing, but my internet access is too slow and erratic. I'll check in when I can. I expect to be gobsmacked, so don't disappoint me.

Internet access quality has no effect if you use my superdraft methodology:

  1. Next draft is announced.
  2. Inspiration strikes.  A brilliant idea forms.
  3. Spend hours researching the perfect picks.
  4. Day one: First pick.  We're committed now.
  5. Day two: Agonize over what to pick next.  Choose a pick that is likely to get sniped.
  6. Day three: Get sniped anyway.  (Alternatively, discover you didn't read the rules for the draft and the whole concept is invalid.)
  7. Days 4-8: Sulk.
  8. Day Nine: An alternative idea forms.
  9. Days 10-20: Work and life intervene.  Completely forget about the draft.
  10. Day 21: Someone posts a late pick and the draft pops back up on the first page.
  11. Day 22: Spend the day reading everyone else's picks.  Everyone's team is way cooler than mine.  Become discouraged.
  12. Day 23: Spend the day researching picks for a new concept.
  13. Day 24: By now the draft is effectively over.
  14. Day 25: Now that it's safe, post picks 3-12 all at once.
  15. Next draft is announced.
