IndianaJoe3
7 hours into 2019 and all is well. The baking has commenced.
tkdguy
Having grown up in the Philippines, I feel that New Year's Eve isn't complete without fireworks, preferably when you can set them off yourself. I had a few fireworks myself, but the wind has been blowing really hard all day. I couldn't light anything, so I had to content myself with watching the fireworks across the bay and setting off a few poppers. On that note, Happy New Year to all! I hope 2019 is a good year for everyone. Trencher

You can emerge from it a whole new, beautiful creature prepared for the coming -- acting lessons, you say? Wonderful! Perfect! Quickly, form that chrysalis! Not all the hispanics; just the Mexican's in particular. And the more of them that move into the neighborhood, the less sleep I get on New Year's Eve. I get the impression that the majority of Mexico is _off_ on New Year's Day. There's just no way the could start popping those things off at 10pm and keep going until 2am and still get up to go to work. It is for that reason that more and more, every year (as a person that has to get up at 4 to go to work, I believe anyone popping fireworks in a neighborhood should be require to start this celebration by sticking the first one under his eyelids), I absolutely _detest_ New Year's Eve..... Cancer
They seem to have reacquired the carrier frequency from New Horizons about 20 minutes ago, so the spacecraft survived close approach. Data will take longer. Duke Bushido

Old Man
Yes, twelve foot pythons are perfectly normal backyard wildlife over there, it takes a python-toad orgy to be notable in any way.
