Lord Liaden
So much social media interaction is based on trying to score points over someone else. If that guy hadn't tried to look smart at the expense of another poster in the first place, he wouldn't have ended up looking like such an ass. I really feel like it ought to be called "anti-social media". I've used that phrase a time or two myself. Having said that, I am pleased to say that most of the problems that exist in most other social media platforms are largely absent here. It's part of the reason I've stayed here so long. The instructions were to write your name as normal for the test then answer the last question. The final question was something like answer the question 2 + 2 and wait one minute, then you can go to lunch early. There were a number of very surprised students as about half of us left at the same time.

In fairness, once things were pointed out the guy did apologize for being out of line and owned his mistake. A rarity online, IMO.
Lord Liaden
Took him a minimum of four posts to do it, though. He kept trying to weasel his way out of it.
Trencher
It does not count. Gail Simone has written almost everything and its always the same. She was absolutely right about women in refrigerators and an important voice in comics, but as an author she have had little impact. When was the last time you heard someone recommend or even talk about a comic story by her without mentioning her name? Better yet when did you read a Gail Simone story that you cared about? People care more about her as a person than they care about her as an author imo. Sure he was clueless but he kinda proves the point. As someone completely outside comic book fandom who gets semi-regular exposure to comic book fans (about a third of my players are comic book fans, and they leave comics around regularly, particularly when it's something "you just _must_ read"), I am going to state with honesty and without malice that there are no comic book authors to which these statements do not apply.
