Cancer Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 Ever been in a bookstore with nothing but kids' books (and I mean children, not young adults) and regency romances? Among those chambers of Hell that have been outsourced into the mortal plane. Quote

Ternaugh Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 7 minutes ago, Bazza said: We need 24-hour bookstores. Back in the Eighties/early Nineties, we had Odyssey Records on Las Vegas Boulevard, which was open 24/7. I lived nearby, and when I found myself unable to sleep at 3 AM, I'd get dressed and go shopping. Even at that time in the morning, there would be about a dozen people shopping. The owner finally took an offer by Wherehouse, with the condition that he ran it. They pushed him out a few years later, and it became corporatized. The store closed after Wherehouse's bankruptcy/absorption into FYE Music. And I still miss shopping there. https://lasvegasweekly.com/news/archive/2004/feb/12/odyssey-records-takes-its-last-spin/ Cygnia 1 Quote
