Pariah
I'm intrigued. It sounds like the league has the potential for a lot of interesting storylines. An article about the AAF that I read today: Welcome to the Alliance of American Football: 'Hell yeah, I'm playing football again'
Starlord
I think the WWE is planning on restarting the XFL next year also.
Pariah
The XFL reboot is scheduled for 2020. Word it is they're going to try harder to focus on football this time around rather than theatrics. We'll see, I suppose.
Badger
I don't have the energy for football past January. I'm sure ESPN would love to cover it or the new XFL, if it means they can avoid showing a Sunday night baseball game or 2 in April.
bubba smith
Quote ironically I missed it due to a cable malfunction how was it ialready know who won via a local news channel
Pariah
...and Christian Hackenberg demonstrates why he's never taken an NFL snap.
Pariah
I've watched bits and pieces of the games today. A lot of missed tackles and dropped passes, but overall pretty entertaining.
Logan D. Hurricanes
I watched some of the opener between the Apollos and the Legends. Orlando is close enough to be a local team, and they had an archer as their logo, and they had controversial Gator coach Spurrier heading the team, so I'll root for them. They won 40 - 0; it wasn't very competitive. Good luck to the league. It puts a whole new angle on it when you realize almost everybody involved is auditioning for the NFL. What, you mean a minor league whose teams don't call themselves colleges? Yeah, that's worth rooting for.
Pariah
That was a pretty darn good defensive series to open the second half for Salt Lake.
Pariah
... and it all went downhill from there. Salt Lake missed four field goals. Those four field goals represent the same number of points that Birmingham scored in winning the game. Very disappointing.
Pariah
And thus the Alliance of American Football comes to an end, not with a bang, but a whimper. Disappointing. But at least Salt Lake can say they won their final game.
Old Man
That was quick. It's too bad, I caught some of the Apollos-Iron game and it was pretty good.
Old Man
I note that there is no franchise/city overlap between the AAF and next year's XFL. In theory the two could merge...
Pariah
I haven't looked at XFL 2.0 very closely. Is there a team in Vegas? Because of Vegas-Salt Lake rivalry would be pretty cool.
Old Man
There are no XFL franchises in Vegas or SLC... yet. Better hurry, season starts in February.

Pariah
Turn out the lights, the party's over. AAF files for bankruptcy, officially closes down
