Cassandra
David Hedison who played Capt. Lee Crane on the TV version of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea passed away on July 18, 2019 at the age of 92.
death tribble
I grew to view the series of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea with apathy because of the scripts not the acting. But that was the series that most people know him from. I have seen the original version of The Fly which has Vincent Price in a surprising non-villainous role with David Hedison as the scientist. I have both the Bond films which has Hedison as Felix Leiter, the first actor to repeat the role. David lived to 92 which is no mean feat. May he rest in peace. Voyagers first season was the best, more serious and less silly scifi.
Lord Liaden
That description can be applied to every Sixties TV series Irwin Allen produced.
death tribble
True. The first seasons were black and white (definitely Voyage and Lost in Space) and had better scripts or ideas. Afterwards the same malaise would appear and quality dropped off. That was writing and direction not the actors.
