Well, it's that time again, or very nearly so. I figured I 'd put this up now so that people could start thinking about what they might like to do in the coming year.

March: Reading Rainbow Superdraft (Sociotard)

April: Master List Superdraft (Sociotard)

May: World Creation Draft IV (Death Tribble)*

June: The Shared Starship Superdraft (Sociotard)

July: Pick A Color Superdraft (Pariah)

August: none

September:

October: Dungeon Draft (Death Tribble)*

Thinking of the Cast Your Fantasy Kingdoms Superdraft where you have such positions as King, Queen, Prince or Princess, of course...

but also 'Kingdom's most powerful wizard'

'High Priest of biggest religion'

Monster that threatens entire kingdom (Dragon etc)

Greatest Knight in all the land

and so on (obviously I Need to work on the details)

And with each day of the draft you pick what actor (Alive or dead) you would cast in said role. Want John Candy as the evil queen? Why not!  Henry Morgan as your Merlin stand in? SURE.

Would anyone be interested in an "actor pool" superhero draft?

Step one, everyone drafts 7 actors. I allow a few days, because this draft can't accept latecomers.

Step two, i place all actors in a common pool.

Step three. we begin the daily draft. Each hero and villain must be played by an actor from the pool. Actor choices are exclusive. You will also pick a director, not from the pool. Option picks do not need to come from the pool, but do need an actor

Also, I've been toying with the idea of a Super Supperdraft, wherein we draft both people and dishes for the most entertaining dinner party:

  • Venue
  • Host
  • Chef
  • Seven Guests and Seven Courses
  • Piéce de Resistance

I thought of this around Thanksgiving, but Easter might also be (in)appropriate...

I got dibs on either Soylent Green or Farmer Vincent's Sausage (Motel Hell)
