Why are bowling alleys, hairdressers, and massage therapists being allowed to go back to work in Georgia?

Hint: You can't claim unemployment if your establishment hasn't been ordered to close.

How the eff does a massage therapist obey the precept of physical distancing while performing their task? Do they use The Force?

2020 is a low magic campaign.  Pretty sure that's not allowed.  😄

I hope the lady that cuts my hair can use the same excuse because I'm two weeks away from looking like Grizzly Adams.

Longer story on some planned re-openings...

I'm just deeply appreciative that I'm not in a position where I'd be made into the lab rats in the experiments that'are to be played out.

ANZAC Day is a special day in Australia and New Zealand where each country celebrates & hours those who fought (and died) on behalf of Australia  & New Zealand. IT is a day where the ANZACs march down the streets., A bit like Veterans Day in America (probably).

I actually recognised some of the names on the list.

When I was on my holiday in France there were a couple of Australians on the tour and one of them did the poem 'We Will Remember them' on Anzac Day.

As for estimates of mortality from the IMHE, their methodology is questioned by other prestigious medical organizations: https://www.forbes.com/sites/hershshefrin/2020/04/18/what-makes-the-covid-19-mortality-forecasts-upon-which-the-white-house-relies-seem-so-low/#444c620e2f70

Yeah the IHME forecast was largely modeled on the Wuhan response and data.  Did we lock down as hard as Wuhan?  No.  Does anyone trust the numbers out of Wuhan?  No.  Does anyone really think the pandemic will effectively be over by August 4?  Lol.

Much as I am not looking forward to three more months like this, I would say that trying to make decisions based on unreliable data that says what you want it to say will not be good policy.

And the problem is that people will do what they want in the US regardless of the data. Remember the American comedian who escaped quarantine on a cruise liner and escaped to Seattle (which is now a COVID-19 hotspot)? That's the sort of view I wonder about. The attitude that puts the self above every other consideration.

I've already pointed out how Chaotic Neutral people behave. Methinks I should go whole hog and describe how the other eight alignments behave during a pandemic.

My state, represent!

The series continues, and the sequel manages to be dumber than the original. I don't know if the link will work, but there was a follow up protest ... at the officer's home!

EDIT: and at 4:09 you can see Ammon Bundy. The guy who took over that building in Oregon a few years back.
