The Master List Superdraft

Okay, I have the beginnings of a story. Lets see.

Submariner has uses for Man-Thing. He has reefs that need rebuilding, waste that needs cleaned up, and so forth. He suspects that Man-Things life-force powers would be useful to this end. Actually, Man-thing might even be 'willing' to help with this (for whatever value of 'willing' a being with little human thought can offer). However, the Sub-Mariner does not "ask". He certainly doesn't patiently explain his needs to someone so clearly beneath him. Imperious Rex.

He purchased a bevy of Orion Slave Girls and tricked Man-Thing to go to Monster Island, where the Orion Slave Girls use their pheromones to control Man-Thing. Even mindless things (plants, slime molds) may be influenced by the right pheromones.

But, the Man-thing is important. A team of heroes has assembled to rescue him before he is taken to Atlantis. Primarily, women, who don't have to worry so much about the pheromones.

However, they arrive on the island to find a . . . complication. Another hero keeps trying to help, but he is a he and doesn't get the problem with that. Yes, he is a complication indeed.

Both of you who chose Silk have good taste.

I'm actually not as familiar with the character as some, but a bit of research indicates a decent and sympathetic backstory and a likable enough personality.

She will fill in fine for the "Rookie" hero role
