Thanks to all for participating in my draft, and making it the success it was. Please even if you didn't participate, join in the poll! We had some clever picks, some good fanfiction, and its the least recognition their work deserves. Note that the unique format of this draft called for two different polls: one for best contribution to the Master List, one for best final draft selection.

Voted.

My contribution list was simple: "It's not easy being green."  Three heroes, three villains, two others.  Never dreamed that Hulk and Martian Manhunter would go so late.  Concept #3 was for a certain kind of offbeat characters that I hadn't been able to gel together at the time the starting gun went off.

Strangely, I had a solid concept for the beginning of a story arc despite a really peculiar assortment of characters, and a very clear picture of where it was supposed to end up.  Between those two points?  Overall, escalating weirdness and violence, and I figured two-three years of monthly comic books would be able to cover those bases, but I didn't have any profound intermediate scenes in mind when it came time to write the fiction.

I'm glad everyone had fun. I would like to do this again next year. I do think I should finesse the rules a bit. I nixed one player from submitting Elsa from Frozen, because I said she was more Fantasy than Superheroic, and now I think that was too restrictive. She certainly fit better than some of the comic book characters that were submitted.

But I have a year to figure out a better rubric.

Woot!  Tied for first in the comic line!  Yeah, I was totally smitten by the concept of Dr Doom ending up in the position of having to decide if he would literally accept a deal offer from the Devil.  Ending up tied with the Hunger Lust Saturday Morning Cheesecakes and Violence Parade is a signal honor.

Well, people weren't impressed by Hulk and Martian Manhunter.  The latter was probably my #2 favorite back in the Silver Age in the early 1960s (#1 was The Flash -- Barry Allen -- as drawn by Carmine Infantino).

Tied for first in "Best Contribution to the Master List"? Huh. Did not see that coming. Thanks!

(I can't believe I finished ahead of It's Not Easy Being Green, though.)

Props to you co-top contributer!

For me, I think I have to thank Dr. Mid-nite, gave me the inspiration for the rest.
