  3. As I understand it, Sentinel Comics: The Roleplaying Game Starter Kit From Greater Than Games is responsible for global climate change as well as Justin Bieber. It curdles milk if placed in the same refrigerator, and has been known to make babies cry and dogs howl. I believe it's the favored game of Kim Jong Un. Whereas Golden Age Champions cures cancer, provides cheap energy to third world nations, and causes spontaneous peace in the Middle East. I think the choice is clear.

All kidding aside the Jags played a damned fine game. It's just that coming from behind to win the game is kinda what the Pats do these days. Mind you prior to 2000 we had to deal with all the jokes making us everybody's butt monkey. "How many Patriots does it taking to score a touchdown? Nobody knows, it's never happened." Now it's our turn, so live with it.

  7. I have used those villains as presented, sometimes downgraded, and sometimes upgraded. Campaigns cover a wide range of power levels, either because a longstanding game group has risen to that class, or because the group just wants to run a story line on the order of a Justice League or Legion of Superheroes. I like villain compendia that support any of the styles of play one sees in the comics. For every official Champions villain like DD or Firewing, there's an Ambush or Lash or El Salto. Overall I'm quite satisfied with what the company has provided in terms of plug-and-play villainy.

  8. Many people on that world are probably complaining that Kasich is the worst president ever. It's all relative, and the human condition could be summarized as, "I think, therefore I b!tch."

  10. "I'll get right to the point," Victor said. "I need your help." The other man eyed him intently, but said nothing. "I know this isn't the fight you have chosen. You have dedicated your life to peaceful coexistence between mutants and ordinary humans--a battle made all the more difficult by President Kaufman's divisive and hate-fueled administration. That you persist is evidence, at least to me, of the greatness of your character." "Victor...." he began. "I also recognize that you are a man of great power--more powerful than either of us may trul

  12. Protagonist: Lieutenant Susumu Kodai, United Nations Cosmo Navy (Space Battleship Yamato 2199) Somewhat hotheaded in his younger days, Colonel Kodai has become simply the best pilot in the Solar Fleet. Still flying his old reliable A-series space pursuit ship, Kodai leads the Fleet Aerospace Force of 6,000 single-seat fighters, 3,000 Z-series 3-man spaceship destroyers, and 1,000 of the new Gazelle-series 6-man ultra-light speed scouts.

  16. When people think of "magical intelligent weapons," they always think of swords. Always. 100% of the time. I chalk it up to an appalling lack of imagination. I mean, who says a quarterstaff can't be imbued with magic and become a vessel for a spiritual essence? Well, pal, let me tell you, it can, because that's what I am. And at least I don't have to spend most of my time with my head stuck in a scabbard. I get to see a whole lot more of the world than your average magical sword, let me tell you. But where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself: I'm Beuregard, but yo

  26. I'm mainlining TRAVELERS on Netflix right now. I'm halfway through the second season. I really hope it gets picked up for a third season. Time travelers from a horrible, apocalyptic future are downloaded into the minds of people in the (our) present--hundreds of years before their time--who were about to die. They take over their bodies and lives and work as teams to perform various missions that they hope will allow them to prevent the awful future, or at least improve it. It's a one-time, one-way trip. The nature of time travel generally prevents "do-overs" so if a mission fails,
