  1. Just wanted to say that I used this in a Champions game I ran at the weekend to work out how fast (in hexes) a meteor was travelling. Nothing to worry about the flying brick managed to intercept it and help it into the sea.

  2. I like it. However, I miss the Combat Maneuver block. That's a key feature of all HERO character sheets that reduces the need for rulebook reference during a game. It also needs some type of HERO System or Champions logo. Nice Job!

  6. You can also override colors...and font families... var colorMain='blue'; var colorAlt='silver'; var colorLink='silver'; var fontFamilyHeaders = 'Quantico, sans-serif;'; var fontFamilyMain = 'Helvetica, sans-serif;';

  7. You can also override many of the headers with more flavorful values. For instance, the following text block: var tdTactics= 'WORLD FAMOUS SECRET AGENT'; var tdQuote='SOUND BITES'; var tdPersonality='WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET'; var tdBiography='ONE OF A KIND'; var tdNonPowers='TRADECRAFT'; var tdPowers='CYBERLINE GADGETS AND PURE AWESOMENESS'; var tdCampaignUse='BEING JOHN WRATH'; personalizes this character's sheet: http://www.killershrike.com/SybylyneConspiracy/Timelines/Charlie/John Wrath the Solo Avenger.html

  8. FYI, if you edit your Campaign Rules, on the Settings tab, to enable Notes 5, you can include various js variables which will be included in the export and drive some dynamic behavior. The most significant use of this is to include rDEF values to output in the hit location chart. It can also be used to put range levels and hit location notes on the combat page. For instance, the following text included on the Note 5 tab: var loc3 = '0/9'; var loc4 = '0/9'; var loc5 = '0/9'; var loc6 = '0/9'; var loc7 = '0/9'; var loc8 = '0/9'; var loc9 = '0/9'; var loc10 = '0/9'; var loc11 = '4/13'; var loc12 = '4/13'; var loc13 = '4/13'; var loc14 = '0/9'; var loc15 = '0/9'; var loc16 = '0/9'; var loc17 = '0/9'; var loc18 = '0/9'; var tdHitLocationNotes= '+6 to offset Called Shot Penalties to hit location 4 with Guns<br />+2 to offset Called Shot Penalties with Glock 20'; var tdRangeModifiersNotes= '+2 PSLs vs Range Mod with Glock 20'; produces this output:

    Wow! I just downloaded the file, Doc Democracy. Incredibly made and the simplistic, yet beautiful, layout makes it look like a totally different game. Congratulations. Very well done .

  12. Nice job! it took me an few minutes to find all the information but that was due to the unhero system approach. Not intimidating at all!

  13. I've updated the export format to display both primary and secondary values in the damage tracking blocks. I think Elastigirl looks usable in the new format.

  15. I failed both my perception and deduction rolls here. Yes, the big blocks are indeed intended for live tracking of values in combat. I didn't occur to me to list multiple values for STUN, BODY, and END in those tracking boxes. I blame years of D&D-based conditioning of tracking one-and-only-one pool of hit points for this oversight. "Who would create separate hit point pools? That's just crazy!" I don't think I'll fix that display since it will throw off the layout of the page. Besides players can write in the correct number in the current max box if they're actually tracking totals.

  17. It still needs some tweaks to show 'secondary' characteristics like those found on my version of Superman. Other than that it looks really good. HM

  20. I was looking for a Combat Record sheet when the few that were included with HD (at least my version) didn't have what I wanted. This one does. About the only thing it doesn't include is any levels of Combat Luck. Which is no big deal. While I didn't print it in Portrait mode, I did look at the Print Preview for it and can vouch for the fact that there is no loss in quality if you were to chose to print it that way. Good work Tasha!

  21. Very helpful - much easier than having 5 people trying to use the same laptop. Much easier to have them pencil-whip it here and then you can always transfer it to a more durable format later. Thanks Chris!

  23. Sooo ... what, exactly, are you supposed to put into the 'Mental' and 'Physical' columns on the first page? With no instructions, one must be clear...

  31. This character format really does what it sets out to do -- it replicates the look of the characters in the book. Clean, easy-to-read, and cool-looking, it emphasizes style without sacrificing substance. While best for superheroic characters, it will suit characters from any genre. I give it my highest rating -- 3 out of 10!

    Speed Calculator

    Or for those who prefer formulas to charts: KPH= .3 x m x SPD MPH= .1875 x m x SPD where m is the character's movement in meters per phase.

  34. I found a few problems with the character sheet and thought I'd post a solution rather than complain, since this was great of this member to post. Please note that I am going off of Champions Complete 6th Edition, which is a subset of the Hero System, 6th Edition. Perhaps costs are not the same; I don't know: Cell H13 should be 1 not 2 (for EGO cost) Cell H22 should be 1 not 2 (for REC cost) Cell H23 should be .2 not .5 (for END cost) Cell H25 should be .5 not 1 (for STUN cost), then the Format needs to be changed to Fraction From page 13 of CC6e, "When an ability cost 1 CP for more than 1 "unit" (such as END, STUN, ...), the character may voluntarily accept less than the full unit if desired, but the cost is the same as buying the whole unit. For example, an END of 35 costs 3 CP; and END of 36, 37, 38, or 39 costs 4 CP, just like an END of 40 would." Because of this, the calculations for J23 and J25 need to change: J23 -> =CEILING((B23-F23)*H23,1), then change Format to General J25 -> =CEILING((B25-F25)*H25,1), then change Format to General In fact, the above calculation column could be applied to all of column J in the Characteristics section, allowing GM's to create fraction costs for other characteristics, specific to his campaign. Also, Excel won't complain about an odd calculation in the middle of the others.

  37. I have just worked on a version of this (and uploaded) for 5E focussing on a Supers Game (http://www.herogames.com/forums/files/file/150-5ehtml-supersultimate-cshde/). I would be happy to make the minor alterations to this file and get a newer version uploaded. There is a broken bit in the Maths for the point spend (I noticed when doing mine) and a number of the 'blocks' float a little, rather than clean alignments.
