The latter, though it would need to be a very lenient GM that would allow it (without extremely careful scrutiny).

That's to adhere with the 5 point doubling rule - double the number of a specific item for +5 points.
-
Metal skin is significantly easier to hide than chitinous armor. It also does not pose as many penalties to Stealth and other rolls.
Apply similar logic to others and you'll start to see the rationale.
-
In all cases cited, the Defense Powers move from Inobvious (default) to Obvious -- it is clear to the casual observer that the character has armor.

This is treading into some sensitive (for many) territory that is best left off of these forums.

Thanks for that check.
A note that likely won’t help OP: you can adjust the font size in HD, you just need to do it at the command line (since Windows is a bit of a pain with passing along font scaling info to Java).
java -jar HD6.jar [font size]
e.g. “java -jar HD6.jar 18” will set an 18 pt font size throughout

Honestly, I'm not sure. I haven't coded anything in either direction for that, and I'm not really familiar with the requirements.

Just now, Ternaugh said:
Most likely an ODN relay.
Nah - just a Data transfer cable.

Desolidified characters are affected by Mental Powers (any power that uses MCV) without the wielder of said powers needing Affects Desolid.
For Mental Powers used by the Desolidified character, see 6E1 page 152

Most likely you have HD set to remember window positions and sizes (the default) and have changed screen configurations at some point so dialogs are being placed off screen.
Delete appPrefs.xml and the start HD and everything should be reset.

Sounds like you didn't grant Java filesystem access when first installed.
System Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Files and Folders / Full Disk Access
-
Sounds like you’re running HD from a directory that you/Java do not have full access to (I.e. protected by windows UAC). Preferences (as well as a lot of other settings and info) will be maintained between sessions so long as the app is able to create and write files in its directory.

You can edit the .hde file to create a new export format -- there's no need to make changes like that on each character sheet.

Are you just venting or do you actually want me to respond to that?

Again, an awkward effect of the way they wanted Matching Complications to function.
You can always leave the Matching Complications set to the original level - they don't factor into any calculations. Reducing the Points, setting the Experience Earned, and eliminating the Complication(s) that have been bought off through Experience will show what you need. -
You need to reduce all - the base/initial points are based on the character having the GM defined amount of matching complications. When you reduce the matching complications, you need to reduce the base points accordingly. It’s an awkward side effect in the change from Disads to Matching Complications.

Use a Compound Power (whether you can also take Linked on the component Powers is a call for the GM to make).

You can pull slightly dated versions from the Downloads section of this site or go the direct route and pull them out of the main HD6.jar file (it will open with any compression software -- WinZip, WinRAR, etc.)

When you define an existing element in a rules template, you're overwriting the built-in definition. If you want to keep the built-in definition and add to it (as in your case), you need to copy the built-in definition into your extension template and use that as your starting point. That's going to be a LARGE copy/paste for Languages, but should be a one time thing and let you add to existing languages and modify the language familiarity chart accordingly.

Not offhand, no.

Providing videos or tutorials on basic use of a computer/operating system is well beyond the purview of HD's support. That said, I'm sure that a simple search would find you any number of videos detailing how to open a command prompt under Windows.
The download section of this site has a large number of export formats. I have no idea what you mean by "non-.hde formats" -- .hde is the extension for HD export formats, there is no other option. All .hde files are editable, assuming you're familiar with the syntax of whatever format they're designed to produce (e.g. HTML, RTF, text, etc.).
Multiple instances of Unified Power
in HERO System 6th Edition Rules Questions
Posted
Apart from GM restrictions, the rules allow for multiple instances of Unified Power (multiple sets of Powers, minimum of 2 in each set).
