  1. Fixed in the current update.
  2. The EP is adding its bonuses in the secondary roll value (not the primary). It's doing this because the Detect is bound to the Characters PER roll. The PER roll for the character will only take EP with all Sense Groups into account for the primary roll, but has been using all EPs regardless of Sense Group for the secondary, due to the number of options possible (you can purchase EP for the Sight Group but then add in other Sense Groups or individual Senses). The secondary roll was meant to show the max possible. That said, I'm removing that behavior. Only Enhanced Perception purchased for all Sense Groups will add to the PER roll (and be reflected in the rolls for any Detects). Limited EP purchases will not be automatically added in, even if they match the sense group of the Detect.
  3. One of two possibilities: 1. You're using File -> Open Prefab... rather than Prefabs -> Load Prefab. The former opens a prefab file for editing. The latter loads the prefab for use. 2. You're loading a prefab that doesn't have any abilities/items defined for the tab you're looking at.
  4. Have you read the documentation for HD (specifically the section regarding the use of prefabs)?

    Memory Woes

All loaded prefabs have the same impact on memory as if they were part of the character. Unless HD is giving you low/out of memory errors, don't worry about the meter -- there are a number of intricacies in how Java handles memory that you need to understand before paying much attention to that. If you're getting low/out of memory errors from HD, first and foremost look to how many prefabs you have loaded (not just what you're actively working on). Unload those that you don't need. If that's not an option, then look to increase the amount of memory that you're giving to HD.
  6. All Advantages appear in alphabetical order. As do the Limitations...and the recently selected modifiers. Pick the list that works best for you.
  7. It's worth noting that HD is doing things correctly - you're running into the limits on the granularity of the rules. There is no "Costs 1/2 END only to Activate" in the system, by design (Steve's).
  8. So you're asking for help pirating software.
  9. You found a download as in "you found it available online somewhere and downloaded it" or "you found an old copy that you had downloaded after legitimately purchasing the application"?
  10. You're applying those Modifiers (both the Advantages and Limitations) to your STR. All of it. So the character would have no STR unless they spent a full phase preparing, and then only against targets that were on the ground. You're looking for a Naked Modifier, with the Advantages applied as the Naked Modifier and the Limitations applied to the Naked Modifier.
  11. 1. You don't import files into HD. You just open them. 2. If you're looking to open a character, the only filter that HD uses is the extension on the file (looking for .hdc files). That's it. If the files are not showing up when you browse to the directory that they're in, then they are not .hdc files. The same is true for all other file types in HD (loading a prefab will look for .hdp files, etc.)
  12. HD will not make any such statement -- that is from your system and sounds like you're trying to "run" the file outside of HD.
  13. The PDF is saved to whatever location you specify when you first click on the Print to PDF menu item.
  14. Same response, with more intricacies in the rule: APW does not impact the damage, AP does. Again, you’re running into odd intricacies in the system rules.
  15. It's a quirk of the rules. Naked Advantages (which is what you're buying here) cost END to use unless the Naked Advantage is Reduced Endurance, at which point the NA becomes a 0-END ability. Otherwise, you'd end up paying END in order to reduce the END of the base ability...which is kinda screwy. You're buying multiple Naked Advantages as part of the same writeup, so you're going to see some odd behaviors rules-wise. If you don't want that, you can purchase the Reduced END separately as a Naked Advantage that applies to up to 60 Active Points of STR (which is what you'd be using if you used the full 20 STR with a +2 Advantage).
  16. The current version of Java (from Oracle) moved/removed a number of functions that HD was utilizing. The current update to HD will work with all versions of Java since Java 6 (including the current), but the versions that you list above will require Java 6 - Java 8.
  17. Saw them...has no bearing on things -- the poster is responsible for the tone and content of any links they post. Posting a link to an article that focuses on fear mongering (or just lies) is not going to end up any different than just posting that on your own.
  18. I'm not saying that it's impossible or even outside of the realm of likelihood. What I am saying is that conjecture and fear mongering is not going to be tolerated. "Oh no! RBG is in the hospital! Everything we hold dear is going to be overturned in the SCOTUS while she's incapacitated!" That shit is NOT going to fly and will get you banned from the forums. I've let things slip recently while folks vented, and that was a mistake. If you have factual news to post and discuss, feel free....otherwise, take it elsewhere if you want to continue to be welcome in the forums.
  19. STOP. THE. HISTRIONICS. If you have actual information regarding cases that are going before the SCOTUS, feel free to share and comment. If you continue to conjecture and fear monger, you will be punted.
  20. If you're talking about the rules from the various 5th Edition supplements, they're still available in HD when you build a character based on a 5E template (just make sure you have the appropriate rules supplements enabled under the application preferences). If you're talking about the character packs (prefabs and characters from the supplements), they're available in the online store.
  21. Because you've selected "apply Modifiers to base Characteristic" (assuming you're purchasing STR as a Power with Modifiers added to it) Or you're building it as a Naked Modifier and not constructing the ability properly (so you're creating, in effect, a Naked Limitation)
  22. Apology accepted. Please refrain from outbursts in the future -- you are a guest in these forums.
  23. Adding "Only with PRE Attacks" is up to you/the GM. I've seen it in the past at up to a -1 Limitation, but that's more about how prevalent PRE attacks are going to be in the campaign (as in: how often not having +30 PRE for defense against attacks is going to matter) and how limiting you see it in light of the existing Limitations on the ability. As for the cost, it sounds like you've checked off "add Modifiers to base Characteristic" -- that means that _all_ of the character's PRE has Extra Time and Costs END to use (not just the +30). Uncheck that box (so that the Modifiers apply only to the +30 PRE) and it should have a cost of 17 points.
