Simon got a reaction from BigJackBrass in HERO System 6th Edition Rules Questions: Heads Up
Just a quick heads-up for folks:  the rules questions forum has been changed a bit, given Steve's schedule and general lack of time to jump in and answer questions these days.

The forum is now an open question and answer forum.  Threads should stick to similar themes as previously (rules questions pertaining to 6E).  Anyone can respond now...and folks can vote/rate answers.  The highest rated answer is listed first...and the original poster can select a best-answer (which will be pinned to the top of the list).

I'm treating this as something of an experiment for now -- we'll see how it works over time and adjust as needed.

That’s correct- in 5E Growth was a level-based Power. It changed to discrete increments in 6E (e.g. Large, Giant, etc)

Not entirely sure if this will work:

Legacy support for BBCode has been deprecated and disabled on these forums as a result.

Every major browser (on all platforms that I've checked) supports printing/saving to PDF -- so just pick the HTML export format of your choosing and you're all of one extra step away from a PDF.

They are Naked Advantages and displayed/written up as such, though the Resilient Body is done in a confusing manner.

A +1/2 Naked Advantage (Resistant, in this case) applied to a max of 50 points (say, 25PD/25ED) costs 25 points.

A +1/4 Naked Advantage (Hardened, in this case) applied to a max of 75 points (say, 25PD/25ED with +1/2 Resistant applied to them) costs 19 points.  This differs from what is shown by 1 point - likely a rounding error or typo on the part of the writer for that particular example.

I would argue that the second writeup (Resilient Body) is done incorrectly as it should be applied to the base ability (25PD/25ED) and not the Advantaged ability (25PD/25ED with Resistant).  If you purchase both Hardened and Resistant as the same Naked Advantage on 25PD/25ED, the cost will work out to 37 points, which is the 25 points for Resistant and 12 points for Hardened applied to up to 25PD/25ED.

Edit: the other costs for Hardened as a Naked Advantage work out to exactly what is shown if applied to the Advantaged cost of PD/ED with Resistant...but Naked Advantages are applied to the Base Cost of the ability, so I would recommend ignoring the costs listed with Resilient Body and either purchase as a single Naked Advantage or purchase as Hardened applied to the Base Cost (non-Advantaged) of the relevant levels of PD/ED.

Guys - we're lapsing into the political again.

I know that it's hard to keep politics out of a discussion of COVID-19, but posts that are primarily (or even pointedly) about politics need to be made in the political discussion thread. I want to keep this thread open, but will need to close it or start issuing infractions if the political posts continue.

Well, for one, you’ll want to go through the current (updated) documentation.  Print to PDF functionality was removed a few months back due to required third party libraries that were incompatible with current Java versions.

you’ll want to use the standard export process with the character sheet format
    of your choice.

It looks like it'll be present on posts that exceed a certain number of pages over a period of time -- a way to keep track of potentially useful/popular/interesting posts that may otherwise get lost.

Edit: I've changed it so that it should show under the first post in a thread rather than as a sidebar.

    In a word: yes.

In more words: think of it as being in someone else's house.  If you want to raise issue with their choice in wallpaper or change in paint color, you likely want to be at least somewhat circumspect in that.  Histrionics do not benefit anyone.

Wait...you're paying for access to the site that I admin for free?  Really?

How dare I update the site, including modifications to the default theme.  Why...it's downright dastardly.  Likely intended just to piss you off.

    Ah....histrionics.

OH GOD....MY EYES!  The goggles -- they do nothing!

The background went from slightly grayed white to white.  Why...it's like nothing I've ever seen before!  No other place on the internet would EVER do this kind of thing.  Well...except for Facebook, Twitter, Reddit....
