  1. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Added some myself.
  2. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Only one quote from the Pulp game I'm in: Set-up: William Gunslinger is sent to hand deliver a message to a "Mysterious Benefactor" who contacted us in the previous session. He gave us an address where we could supposedly reach him. When he gets there the place looks abandoned. Still He WAS all mysterious and all. Gunslinger checks the whole outside of the house, and not finding an obvious way in: Gunslinger: Should I roll on High Society to figure out if he (the Mysterious owner) would think it wrong if I broke into... Me (Obviously OOC): HAHAHAHA!
  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Hey, where did my camel go?

  5. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I'm in a Pulp game right now. The group was talking about the direction the campaign might be taking after the X-mas break and this is a comment I made: "We're probably heading for the deepest parts of Africa, that means we're going to need porters. You know what porters are? What they're really for? They are there to die. You know: to be killed by wild animals, die from poisonous bites from snakes and spider, fall of a cliff-face trail, or killed by the angry natives. Porters: they're the «Red Shirts» of Africa."
  6. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I think that is Bravo of the Sentinels (CU: NOW pp.56-59). Darn! The Sentinels are there too?!? And Mechanon doesn't even look scratched!
  7. Re: A bit of fun in an old Champions game. True. I should have said the name didn't last long.
  8. Re: A bit of fun in an old Champions game. Another true story: Some years ago to canadian political parties allied together, the Conservatives and the Reform party. They decided to call themselves the Conservative-Reform Alliance Party. The party didn't last long. Seems like most politicians didn't want to belong to any party called C.R.A.P.
  9. Re: Superhero Images This might be from some fevered dream, but Starburst maybe? And didn't he have a cape?
  10. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... BatManuel was actually in the live version of the show.
  11. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. That is so close to a character in one of the campaigns I am in. He may make an appearance there.
  12. Re: A Focus that can Shrink to be hid. That may be, but usually something is "Obvious" when it is in use. A pistol is an OAF also, but once holstered it is hard to spot. A whip could be easy to conceal and they can be 30 feet long! In a campaign with super-powers or advanced tech, a "shrinking" object, when it isn't in use, is not that bizarre. Just look at a Light Saber.
  13. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Or until you see the size of the Demon. (Short for "Dimensional Traveler" in Robert Asprin MYTH series.)
  14. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Does that include the character who has the feat? I can see it now: "Sorry, you can't use that feat anymore. You whole family is dead." "What about me?" "Your undead, so you don't count."
  15. Re: Book recommendation for guns? Dark Champions indeed has everything you would want to know about modern guns in the Hero System, but you might want to check out the HERO System Equipment Guide.
