  1. I saw it but I dont think these litte guys are the same as the (also very cool) grådværger/vetter/tusser/goblins we saw in that film.
  2. Vetter? Vettar? They are cool in any case. I would watch this movie in a heartbeat if it exited.
  3. What is this from? Please be a movie please be a movie please be a movie..
  4. Daniel Bryan might be a better wrestler but he never got buried so hard as Zack Ryder. That burial was brutal!
  5. BOOOOOOOOOOO EVerything! Royal rumble is over and Bryan lost his feud with the Wyaytts and Cena is their next target. The old age outlaws are the new tag team champions and are back as faces. The Lesnar vs Big Show match was just Lesnar beating down Big Show with a chair before the match started and Big Show gave Lesnar a knockout punch then the result of that were that the WHOLE match were just them staggering about, selling their injuries making for a looong slooow match. I just wanted it to end.. Then Orton and Cena had the match of the night. Yes I am serious despite certain elements of the crowd trying to boo them out of the building, Orton and Cena put on a hell of a match both working the crowd and doing some new moves, The Rumble had a lot of good and bad to put it mildly. Things I remember include. Kane getting eliminated before he went back to eliminate Punk just to make sure his elimination of Punk does not destroy Michaels record of most eliminated. Kofi doing cool balance and jump. Ziggler getting great reaction just to be eliminated withouth getting any eliminations to his name. Rusev debuting and getting no eliminations.. Sigh.. JBL getting called up and walking into the ring in his suit and tie, then he get eliminated from behind while handing Cole his jacket. What was the point of that? Are they setting up an angle where he is forced to wrestle but he sabotages himself? El Torito got an elimination and therefore did better and looked stronger than 99% of the guys in the rumble. Ryback managed to look strong even though he too was thrown out without getting any eliminations. Del Rio previous winner was this time a lightweight. Big E Langston was also there and he had stolen Ortons baby oil. Poor Rey Misterio was number 30 and got boooed to hell. The shield had a great story going and Reigns looked great but in the end he got eliminated and BAtista is the winner. Crowd booed it all the way. People want something new. I post on another forum and on that forum they were convinced that Bryan Danielson is going to win the Royal Rumble, win the unified title at wrestlemania and that HHH and the authority is going to get their comeuppance. I always protested this because I did not see anything like that being presented in the stories we were served. But to my surprise the crowd at the royal rumble thought so as well and that is why they booed so heavily. So what do you guys think? Is WWE ready to push Bryan?
  6. The Metro game uses bullets as currency.
  7. Looking through the viewfinder allows the user to see ghosts and also see through ghostly illusions. The ghosts are invisible and desolid but their power is bought with the not vs whatever magic that powers the Camera Obscura The Camera sports a special filament that glows blue in the presence of benign ghosts or illusions, and red in the presence of hostile ghosts. Camera Obscura has mind reading emotional states only vs ghosts only By snapping pictures of a ghost, the Camera damages them, and if they are defeated, ghosts are (literally) captured on its film. In the games, film serves as your "ammo," the conservation of which can be crucial, so Charges may be a factor here. Sounds like the arch typical transform The Camera also has various other functions, like special lenses, capable of slowing or stopping a ghost temporarily, knocking them back further, or weakening their defenses against further attacks. These lenses are variable powers and advantages that can be changed as you change lenses. Perhaps you could throw them into a multipower if you want to bother with all the different lenses.
  8. It just seems that the villians gets the best moments, it works in a story to some extent but in an rpg it would be like your are surrounded by GM-pets npc.
  9. I have them have less body but non ablative armour (exept on the head) at the same amount so its pretty much the same. The half hit location penalties is a great idea. I would also add that they can be stunned for a round just not knocked out to make them feel less robotic.
  10. As much fun Order of the stick is I am kind of glad I dont play in such a campaign.
  11. He would be a broad set of Ks, and he would be bought with the incantations limitation to simulate the other characters gaining this knowledge by talking to him. Unless he can move around by himself then he would have a body score but would have solidification and he could only be hurt/stopped by things that could hurt disembodied spirits like special kinds of magic and such.
  12. I usually make the thugs as weak as to be taken out of action by one hero attack or two. One important thing is to keep things realistic is to use ego roll rules to see if the thugs stop fighting and goes into shock if they are injured. It is also possible to decide that the thugs automatically fail their ego roll if faced with superhero resistance. I have a lot of re usable npc characters but for simplicity sake I will cover the three main types of thugs. Punk: These guys are young, weak and stupid. They are pretty fast though and their inexperience can actually make them more dangerous since they don't really understand or care about the risks they are taking. Even though they are pretty stupid and want to prove their courage they can easily panic making them a bit more unpredictable in behavior than regular thugs. Thug: These guys are more seasoned and older. Their criminal life have made them a lot tougher than they were when they were punks and they are a lot more intimidating. They are smarter as well using dive for cover maneuver or martial arts even. However they are most often not stupid and will not fight to their last stun point before running away or quitting. Soldier: These guys are defined by their training and more advanced tactics. They usually have a plan which they have trained for and use hold actions to cover each others backs and stuff like that. The level of danger is highly variable on super villains soldiers mostly dependent on how efficient their equipment is and how well they are trained. Still their physical power in well within human parameters. They are not powerlifters or olympic level acrobats. Its their weapons and tactics that makes them dangerous. In short I try to make them as weak as possible within the story. If the villain have use his resources to augment his thugs any further I treat the thugs as "weak" supervillians and make it clear that they are well above regular humanity in power. The thugs are there to show the players that their characters are bad ass and strong as hell.
  13. Lots of good thoughts here and you have a solid grasp on what you want to do. But I think one of the great things about the Hero system is that its ruleset allows for nearly infinite details on each individual character or creature as desired. So you can have some undead that can bleed (Vampires) or oozes with hitlocations (an alien blob with an brain) or any other mix and match of abilities and powers so while I think this is great for having a feel for different creatures types I would not add it to any rules.
  14. I am glad that Durkon have managed to hold on to his Dwarfality, when Malak got introduced I was afraid of him returning posthumously to his home meant he would go there with Malak and kill them all.
  15. http://www.deviantart.com/art/The-Raid-Redemption-390197477 A nice urban "mood" piece.
  16. Did I miss something or do we not know what the Priest of Nergal did when Nale was nine years old?
  17. Need some generic soldiers? http://wi-flip-ff.deviantart.com/art/Generic-Soldiers-Galore-371420430
  18. Odd that I could see my post from 2013 on the first page of this thread. Anyway some intense action and its great that he publish more often now I have a reason to visit his webpage every day. As for the story I am not entirely happy but it depends on how it progress with the next confrontation.
  19. I can see my own post but the last post before that is from 07??
  20. Okay I can only see one page on this thread and the last post is from 07. I wonder if I can see my own post? Anyway I am really happy the series is picking up steam.
  21. Re: Order of the Stick He does not loose any levels. However being turned undead will not really benefit him that much combat wise especially if Durkon is around.
  22. Re: Rogues...and Soldiers...and Assassins...and...Gallery (Dark Champions Art) http://apneicmonkey.deviantart.com/art/Nuclear-Dawn-Consortium-262676741 A great high tech team!
  23. Re: Cool concepts for your games. Well for ideas you can just "tarnish" the silver, like the Jack Rabbit dude could be like the Joker or Bolo and Jack be nimble could more gritty. There also are The Harbringer, Mastermind, Night stick, Rat king. Death Ray and Beautiful Grim would need work to work in a silver age campaign. And even if some does not work their costumes could work, Whipper and Snapper for example? Steal ideas mix and match bend and blend.
  24. This guy have a lot of imagination! http://365supers.blogspot.no/
  25. Re: Rogues...and Soldiers...and Assassins...and...Gallery (Dark Champions Art) This concept is very cool but somewhat out there..
