  1. Thanks everyone. Y’all bring up very good points. Especially the writing every game aspect which I brought up the to the player as being problematic at best. I’ll copy and paste all of this to him and see what we can figure out. I’ll keep an eye out for new information as well.

I have a player who wants to create a character similar to Mystique except this character touches her target she is not only able to mimic their shape, voice, retinol, signature, fingerprints, etc she is also able to copy their powers. Similar to morph from the old silver age ex man, his shoes, and the animated cartoon. He wants to use multi form, but the rules are more deformed not exactly apply in the situation. I suggested we come up with a custom adder to make multi form “cosmic“ but I’m not sure how much that should be. I welcome any suggestions to making this character. One last thing, we use 5e, but I can reverse engineer 6e.

  4. I am looking for a write up for the effects of a nuclear bomb in Champions. It is not necessarily a Star Hero item but this was the closest SciFi area. I found one some years back and it was pretty detailed with examples of burst radius, 2x knockback for outward and inward damage zones, transformation of people who see it into blind victims, radiation, etc. If anyone knows the link or which book this appears in I would greatly appreciate the help for my WWIII campaign.   8. I'm looking for some kind of mapping software I could use to pair with a text based online Champions game. I plan on texting "turns" to players and using the map(s) for combat. Anyone done anything like this? Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Also, if the map software can work on a cell phone would be a plus! Thanks.
  9. Before I shell out the money for the 6e Hero Designer can someone tell me if its backwards compatible with 5e write ups? Does it change thing like the new rules for ECs etc? If so does anyone know where I can buy a Hero Designer v3?

  11. Re: Common superhero types you've never seen in play PCs which have the ability to fight in and out of costume. Most of the write ups I get from my group are strong on the offensive if they are OIHI or in the super-suit, etc. But if I catch them out of their super tech jammies or in normal id they are fodder. I constantly have to remind them about skills and such OUTSIDE their her identities. Also....jobs. I get that doe-eyed look when I ask "what does your character do when he/she is not fighting crime?" A-"uh, I dunno? Working at a fast food joint?"
  12. Re: 5e Vehicle Design Problems Not very important. Unlike the Blackbird of X-men fame, this one has YET to be destroyed although it has taken severe damage.

  14. Re: 5e Vehicle Design Problems Thank you for all the suggestions. I already did a cut out of the vehicle (kinda like the minis for Car Wars) and we use it on the board. I really like the takes more KB idea; I never would have thought of that.
  15. I have a "Children of the X-men" campaign I'm running and the group has decided it's time to buy the SR-71 Blackbird. However, when I use the Vehicle template in the HD and try to approximate the length and width of the actual plane then the weight is way too high. The actual SR-71 had about 12 levels of Size which the HD gives 409.6ktons. However, the actual plane was only 67.5ktons empty. Is there a way to minimize the weight or do I (as GM) just say that it weighs less regardless of the size levels?
