3. Re: About hero Central and PBEM yes i used the old htmail adress to finally subsribe and changed it for my actual one... Odd to think gmail adresses block the website Anyway it's done.. Power_princess is now into the place
4. Talking with my players, I have to consider to build a secondary NPC that will help them when my brick player is absent. AS they keep teasing me on my blonde girly attitude sometimes (aahh players ^^), I thought to do something funny. But they know me too mell and I'd like to surprise them. So I'll post a picture I think most of you gentlement will found interesting, and I would appreciate that you would build and propose me sevearl buildings of this character. Points to remember are : - She's a brick with an attitude and a very revealing costume 'Neh gentlemen ? ^^) - She's the archetype of the pure megababe you machists mind can think of - She can be slightly bimboish and/or lecherous but only in certain comic situation. After all it's Champions not Hentai RPG - she's to be a seductive tease to annoy gently my machist players (GM revenge is always to fear yeah ) - She's at 450 points creation max So please, surprise me with different buildings
5. Re: About hero Central and PBEM in to register with same infos... It says the name already exist so I try to login. I still have no password so I ask your system to send me a new one at my email. And I never receive anything even in Spam. it's a classical gmail.com adress, so what can I do more ? Please
6. Re: Champions the New Millenium using HERO System 6th Edition Campaign Well, thank you all for responding to this question. First actually, as I said, I find personally that the characters are well balanced. They have the abilities they need, and just grow on skills, and perks.. rarely on powers. The point is more about a feeling that some of the players have . Meaning they don't like to have "less experienced" characters than others. Yes, in France, we have especially bratty players As for the actual Champions team, it's the one that is in the Champions: the New Millenium book, so Seeker is VERY different from the actual one. Not a very sociable character in fact. Pondering all your response I'll discuss (again and again) with my players but keep sending ideas if you have some. And thanks again!
7. Re: Champions the New Millenium using HERO System 6th Edition Campaign This is going to be a fight, but I'll see what's possible. ^^ Merci.
8. Re: About hero Central and PBEM Thanks, I never get any email even in my Spambox, which I of course checked ^^ I'm maybe blonde but not so much ! Going to PM the good Mr Simon then ! Thanks !
9. Re: How do you use The Champions in your campaign? My players use the Champions The New Millenium official team as their own characters so they are in the center of everything. But the setting makes it easy, so ...
10. Greetings. One year ago, some of you, kind people, helped to set up my C: NM campaign using the new eidtion of Champions. It's working well so far I wanted to post to thank you, and ask for few advices. For those who doesn't know : Champions: the NEw Millenium is a campaign setting that used to be using the Fuzion System. I adapted it into the 6th Edition with some difficulties but it works out well. I had hard time tryingto balance the different characters, as my players are using the official Champions persona for the game. It was more convenient for the background and lots of other reasons. Saying that, tough, I had a big problem because to respect the way the characters have been translated into the new edition, they weren't balanced in experience points. For instance Defender was a 385 points, and seeker a 580 points, which makes a big difference. Quantum was exactly 450 points, and Solitaire and Behemoth turned around 425 and 540 respectively. No real unblancing have been pointed at (I must be a not so bad girly GM after all lol), but I understand my players when they tell me it would be fair each of us have the same experience points. Yes, I forgot to tell, during the game, they earned experience, but the unbalance is still here. I'm having issues on how to let "weaker" characters got so much experience in a row and how to not unbalance the game this way. I'd like you experimented players and GMs to assist me with it please Regards from accross the Oceans !
11. Hi guys ! I tried recently to subscribe to the old hero central website for PBEM. For now, no response from the admin after 4 days. So I wanted to ask if you knew him maybe (Dan Simmons) or any other PBEM Champions forum. I'd love to try that kind of game, in this community I learnt to appreciate years after years Long live to the HERO geeks !
12. Re: Power Building Question I totally love this Undine character ^^ Totally "me" in the RPGs I use to play in. And it gives me some ideas and hooks to understand the system better. As for Steve Long explanations. Thanks
13. Re: Hero System from the scratch.. Well maybe it was linked to the Fuzion SYstem, but ignoring the END for NPCs was a bad idea, as they proved to be really unbalanced without this limit
14. Re: Hero System from the scratch.. I was gone to that conclusion but thanks. As for conversion guidelines for C:NM, there weren't I could find, so I had to figure it out by myself or near Too bad, because the settings was really interesting
15. Re: Hero System from the scratch.. Keeping it in mind ! Thanks
16. Re: Hero System from the scratch.. And I add this to my questions : Will there be a Hero Designer V4 for the 6th Edition or can we use the V3 ?
17. Re: Hero System from the scratch.. The Champions NeW Millenium settings main book was reedited once, including some Hero Systems character sheets, to make an equivalent and examplary. But that's all.. my main question is : would it be better to wait for 6th Edition ? And providing I'm newbie to the HEro System, and wishing to start a campaign in the Champions New Millenium setting (the great lines are ready), do you think I could handle the rules and stuff easily or not ?
18. Greetings first, and from across the oceans. I recently interested me - again- to the superheroes rpgs, and I have a bunch of questions. I know the hero system a bit for having been a player of the 4th and 5th edition, with a gamemaster that was pretty well mastering their tools. We had lot of fun during our game sessions, thanks partly to the great work of Steve Long and it's fellows that I salute. Myself, I tried to GM an alternative setting of Champions : The NEw Millenium. It was using the Fuzion System, which was a good start, simple enough to discover the mechanics of superheroes RPGs. But it clearly had its limits, and I'm known to be a gentle (too gentle ?) GM, when it comes to rules. And the game only had three books developped for it, alas... And thousands of questions around the universe. So I said to myself I'd go for the big game and system : Champions universe using Hero System. And now I've schemed a big campaign on paper (one year work or near.. yes, when I prepare something it can be long ) , I see there is a 6th Edition released. So the question is : to get a complete understanding of the system and universe, what is best to do ? Go with the 5th Edition as the main game is developped into, including factions and settings, or go to 6th Edition, hoping it would eventually be fully compatible ? For example, would I be able to use or easily find ways to convert Champions New Millenium stuff or 5th Edition stuff with the 6th ? I guess the response is yes (I do hope !) but I prefer to ask directly advice from people used to the game mechanics. By the way, my apologize for my english, it's not my native language. Regards Opale
