  1. hellooooo Well well well.. With a recent change of "campaign mood",it seems my PCs are going through a wrong way, which tingled my interest. They might fail and fall, and let the Qliphotic horrors invade my Champions Earth. SO... If that happens (and it sounds like it's going to happen), I'm going to make my Champions Earth an alterante dimension of the official one, in which the Kings of Edom conquer the world, and destroy civilization. And for that, I'm needing some advises, hints, super (heroes or villains), pictures from Dc Comics, Marvel, top cow, Images, etc.. to fill up my new world. Future Pcs could be a legacy, from heroes or villains, or anything else, to fight the Edomites, their cults, the Elder Worms, Shadow Destroyer, etc... in a post apocalyptic world still superpowered. So my main question are : 1/ How powerful you think such a team should be ? (ie on how many points are the character build) 2/ What would you picture yourself in such a world; please toss any ideas you might have, because you have great ideas fellows Heroites 3/ Btw, would you yourself enjoy to play a game in such a devastated world ? Ap-opale
  2. Mimic, a character I created after one of the other players character was abducted and killed by Skarn the SHaper. She was an homonculus magically crafted from the other hero blood, some of a faerie sidhe and some of a succubus. A still "active" character of mine, with "Rogue like" powers and complications. A mix in fact between Meggan and Rogue from Marvel TM, but adapted to the Champions settings. All in 400 points, which was a challenge to make ^^ Fun one
  3. 3 "Core" players, plus 2-3 secondary players... i.e people that are less active, but plesant to a table, or have less opportunities to play. That way it's always possible to play even if 2 are unavailable
  4. Well thanks for the answers I might contact you to work on some projects like relooking the Istvatha V'han army or galactic champions stuff
  5. ah cool ^^ Thanks for the answer DT I'm pondering to comission him to redesign some vehicles for my campaigns.
  6. Mr Storn ! It might be a silly question, but do you draw any kind of vehicles, bases or such on comission, or just stick with characters ? Always enjoying your creations anyway ^^ Regards
  7. Hey there ! Along with one of the current post, I am totally wondering if that is legal within the system to : 1/ Let a player build an AI to play 2/ Have this AI get some powers to actually use "Possession" on Vehicles or Robots 3/ Have This AI use a Multiform in a VPP in order to simulate a sort of Transformer/Transmatron, whatever you call it, to actually create the bodies he wants (keep in mind that would always be a PC) Regards and happy new yaer !
  8. lol ^^ Curiously, Captain America was always one of my favorite superheroes... But as the song says : "I'm just a girl..."
  9. haha ^^ thank you both for your insights Noted all of that, and now posting another question, still related to AI. Say a PC wants to play an AI. To be fair, should I choose to build it as a normal character (i.e a casual robotic form) or actually build him as an AI ? AND this is where it goes complicated. The idea is to make it a sort of Transmatron(Transformer) PC, with the abilities to "Possess" any kind of machine. I immediately thought about a Multiform in VPP, But would that be correct if he was playing an AI, meaning with no body ? Could that be a valid build to give that AI some Possession Power to inhabit any kind of vehicle for example ? I don't know if I was clear tough :/ Any opinion welcome Opale, scratching what she thinks might be limits to the system
  10. Like Enforcer84 said, I experienced that lots of casual RPG players are willing to break the basic concepts of superhero playing. I.e using killing powers, and behaving more like vigilantes and egotist assholes with powers who pretend to serve the good, but only seeks glory. At first I tried to trust the PCs, but not anymore. Now each character is totally supervized, and created (background included sometimes !) by me. And if the player can't fit, I invite them to quit the table. No bad feelings. Now, it's true that noone else want to GM a Champions campaign, mostly because of the system complexity. And there is the cultural difference. Superheroes are an american fantasy. In France, most people like them but find them silly, and unrealistic. Which is the main point.
  11. Hello folks ! This time, we are back on setting up things on our Galactic Campaign Settings. And my players offered me a wondrous opportuinty, as one of them recycled a military AI his character programmed, in order to make it a sort of Jarvis AI to manage their base and the 125 robotic followers inside ^^ of course, it gives me immediately naughty evil ideas, so I would like to get some advice on how to number it, and what it should have, providing they gave the AI 70x5 = 350 Character creation points. Original name of the AI was : M.O.L.C.O.S aka "Maintien de l'Ordre et de la Loi Civique par Ordre de Soumission"... Still seeking how to translate it perfectly in english and keeping it written that way lol So, thank you with any help Opale AI
  12. Well, I now got the Super Mage Bestiary available, and indeed I own the Arcane Adversaries book aswell. My Need is in fact to grow up the so called Bestiary in order to get horror creatures that my PCs CAN actually fight. AS a spin axe, the Angler has been attracted by the Awakening of Cloaca (See DEMON), and he somehow "warps" the reality, permitting other creatures to enter the Campaign City World (Vibora Bay). Other evil like Tapan Arkwright and stuff will appear, but gradually in the story. I'm relatively good story teller, but not so good with building opponents, so ^^ Anyway thanks to all for the help ! Opale, Beyond the Pale
  13. Thanks Lucius ! AS Always creating with poetry
  14. Thank you both for your quick answers and help
  15. Hey Folks Been all mystical GMing those days, I tossed my group into a DEMON campaign type. Starting fresh using an angler and some quantic time slipping story, I realize that there are not alot of horrors that can be used as a center of my stories (in horror/mystical campaigns, monsters ARE the story in my humble opinion) So I gathered up tons of comics pictures that could be those edomites creatures, and I'd like to know if some of you would be nice enough to help me build nasty creatures to oppose my PCs. So anyone up to ? in advance, thanks Madness-Tendril-loving-Opale
  16. I like to count Your Brickhouse creation as goofy, providing I played her all bimboish.. Was fun ! ^^ Blondish goofy Opale
  17. So to sum it up; I'd have to create a Transform power then a Multiform one, in order to produce the two effects. The Transform Power affecting the PC, and the Multiform Power to allow the villain to "gain" the stolen Body Abilities Out of curiosity, how would you all react if such an horrible thing happened to your characters ?
  18. thank you all for the help assault & Lucius ; it is indeed a ritual power; or plot device ^^ Now I have questions about Possession build ; - is the Damage Over Time Limiter needed ? My idea is to have this villain running amok with a hero's body for LONG ; in fact till the group doesn't find a way to stop him, without killing his stolen body and save their friend - The Possession effect wouldn't stop if the villain is knocked out; some kind if hyper surgery or mystical power would be needed to "fix" the problem - I guess I need to link this power with a Severe Transform for the hero into just his own head . The Based On CON (Def is PD) is not suitable, for the villain should be able to get the group Brick,,, Would that be possible with a Defense such as Impenetrable or HArdened PD ? AS for the name, I'm still thinking about it ^^ Note : What would do a palindromedary with one of his head replaced by the villain "s ? Opale
  19. Hi peeps Today I have a special question on how to build a series of abilities I imagined a villainous mystical character who would steal a hero's body and abilities, by replacing his head by his own, The villain is just a head surviving and able to speak even without a neck or torso (yup it's mystic ); and he abduct people to "behead" them, and steal their superheroic bodies and abilities, placing his own head on their beheaded bodies, The Hero is still alive during that process, and is only a head able to speak and think normally (I let you imagine what horrific situation it might be for such a character, and the wonders of deep RP and scenario you can do with such an happening ^^) So, how would you write such powers, that affect both the villain and the victim ? Head on shoulders Opale
  20. a bike, a car, a boat and a plane ^^
  21. The Night Cat Vehicles: Variable Power Pool (Gadget Pool), 92 base + 92 control cost, No Skill Roll Required (+1); Can Be Only Changed At Base (-2), OAF Expendable (Difficult to obtain new Focus; -1 1/4), No Vehicles Of Opportunity (-1), Only For Vehicles (-1), Lockout (Can't Use More Than One Vehicle At A Time; -1/2), Only In Alternate Identity (-1/4) is what I use to allow, for a maximum VPPing Opale
  22. Take a look at the Cloaca Character, QM. I always found this one had alot of potential to become a major threat, when you think about Qliphotic stuff
  23. QM, in your world, who leads DEMON now, in in what form ? I'm curious to know, because I'm working on DEMON for my mystic campaign group Got myself an "Inferna" villainess character based on the Goblin Queen from Marvel, as a sort of wild card to give my PCs a chance to mess with the mystic threat. I used the main idea that Demon-Bound initiates are a sort of infiltrates from the Descending Hierarchy inside DEMON plotting Opale
  24. Well it must be a cultural biais, but I think best stories are stories with an end ^^ A sort of Apocalyptic end of the Champions Super Powered Game would have been nice. And they could have rewritten it all to create a brand new one, on an alternative earth for example. Well, just my 2cents. For instance I loved the setting of the Champions : The New Millenium. Too bad it was not developped more.
