I should put this over in the oldold thread, too.... testing out an adventure for a convention next year, the PCs hear about a 10 story on fire, with a daycare in it.... the Team rush in, variuous ways, to save people.. ...terminator rejects show up. "Come with me if you with to live." after several turns of battle, 1 PC is battling a t100 on the stairs, with another outside, screaming. "Do you see that? Is it real? Am I going crazy?" while shaking a fireman.... later on... at another location, the master villian shows up prclaiming to be their leader. Another PC, really a dragon, attacks the villian. the other 2 PCs jump in the middle, one grabbing the tail of the dragon trying to pull the dragon away. While the other one stands between the 2 of them, shouting. "STOP! I'm so confused!" oh, she won't enter the HQ until she saw someone's ID and the newscrew showed up to film what was going on...

Re: I am so, so old... library? i must be old when i got as good, if not better, selection of books then the gaming store my own kids burn me out on playing. it one thing to play once aweek, but when you're talking every night without a chance to put something together mine have played stawars:saga, champions, DnD, fantasy hero my daughter ran Harry Potter at RoundCon. its a homebrew based on decipher startrek that is kept alive on the internet. wish I could remember the names of the guys who did it. think on yahoo their group is Coda lives I still have, a bit battered, the original V&V box with several adventures

Re: GMing for a new group maybe one/several of the PCs is putting his/ her paycheck in the bank, or the math teacher is putting the math club's budget in then they got a real reason to hunt down the robbers, even if they stop the villians, so it won't happen again... turtle armor? could that be part of the last player's origin.... hhmmm..... thugs using the armor to swipe an ATM...

  5. what would you consider Battlestar Galactica, a starhero or PAH setting? Why? in one of these threads, there is a good conversion done by Patroit ( i think). he has 4 versions, BSG 15 being the newest one. check it out
  6. Re: Millennium Champions Organized Play Campaign i am wondering what kind adventures/missions GMs/players are looking for. I have seen good adventures go downhill when the concept was a murder mystery and the PCs were combat beasts, and the reverse where PCs made for detectiving placed in heavy combat i want a feel for the kind Issues you want to create, I guess Me? a good mix of combat with a good storyline. and a chance for the PCs to grow each time. players feel they had an effect on the world Not?? not a mission the players feel they are being lead by the hand, or being overshadowed by NPCs on Quickpick PCs, are they gonnabe from the Issues, or created by the different GMs? on the setting, will it have to be the MC, or may we taylor it to our part of the country? more so for the new players, and the enjoyment I see in players' faces when I use something they know and then put a twist in How much impact are us, the players, gonna have on you writing the Issues? if I missed any thoughts, please speak out

As the others, i enjoy making characters and adventures, its just finding the time to do it. Right now I am working on an adventure for RoundCon next year,with heroes forming a team in the local area. I am willing to try to tie it in with the overall theme. Sourcebook? adventures??   8. Re: Champs Worldwide: Whaddya want? well..more I have read some real good suggestions, but noted a few were missed. Unless I just skimmed over it by accident, of course. I think there should be aleast one culture (sterotyped) hero from each covered country, otherwise they lose their unquiness. I too would like to see characters from Mexico, South America, and even Hawaii. And heroes/villians who are not nessary from that country. I ran for a time a Thundercat theme PC in Hawaii. Also, how about horror theme characters, like the werewolf or Dracula and his brides? Or even some from other countries. I think someone out to just have your new European girlfriend as lunch makes change from robbing banks and world conquest. And why not explore a little about around in space. The 4th Ed Zodaic comes to mind. Just because they run around on the earth doesn't mean they got to have a base there. wylie

Invid Invasion) Funny, I never thought about hotshot pilot perks. as far as rank goes, enlisted cost 3 pts each warrant officer costs 4 pts each officer 5 pts each even though I had one player thought he had to buy each rank, you don't. When the player wants to move up in rank, say an officer, then he only has to pay the 5 pts for 2nd Lt. Skills like bueacrutics (can't remember how to spell the word right now) and disads: responsible for people beneath him

And believe me, I won't being doing this if I didn't enjoy it. Yes, there are times where I just walk away for a time. On a different subject, any thoughts to skill packages? I put my own version in the group files. Yeah, they kinda repeat themselves real quick, since my only source are the RPG game books. Oh, thanks. I enjoy being able to bounce thoughts back & forth. Maybe we can talk Steve into some kind of sourcebook at the rate we are going. wylie

Think I wanted/ went for a dramaic/ cinmanic feel. either way works, just depends on the type of game you're trying to run. as mad as it sounds, given any idea on settings? Mine is during 2022, right after SDF 3 leaves. wylie

Invid Invasion) Funny thought, what if someone else had the same idea and decided to convert robotech to hero system? well, I did. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/champians_Robotech/ As part of a game I am trying to run for the 2nd time. Looking over what you did, I see I was conservtive on my own versions. Still got several to go, since I started at Macross and working my way forward. Hope a different view helps you, as yours did mine. Most are unchanged, but you have given me food for thought when I get back to converting mecha. enjoy wylie
