Do you have a tape measure?

Would you believe that I just wandered off for a long walk?

What is going on with PATs today????
Oh. Week 1. Nuff said.Yup. Well, there's always next week. Meanwhile, out here in the west, the Seachickens of Seattle couldn't seem to find whatever magic Geno had going last season. And they didn't even come out for the second half. I don't have a clue who those guys were in the Sqwuaks uniforms.

Well, with the Bengals out my NFL season is done for another year. The Seahawks and New England can try again next season.
And if gravity at State Farm Stadium is suddenly reversed... I'm OK with that. -
If I was in your area I would be there in a heartbeat. It's been almost a decade since I was in a FTF game. As a Genre Fiend/Romantic (on the Allston player type list) yours sounds like exactly the game I'd want to be in. However, the commute from Boise is just a bit too far. 😢
Good luck with your search, though. I hope you find someone quickly.

If I had a question like this I would PM Lord Laiden. He is our resident lore expert. If it's in a HERO book, then the odds are pretty good that he'll remember it.

That count is probably on the low side; but I think you're right.

I have been away from the boards for a while, and just saw this post. I think that I may be the only HEROphile in Boise. I once had an incredible HERO GM here, but he relocated to Washington state a number of years ago. He and I were on the same page as far as comics, the supers genre, gaming, etc. After his departure I just didn't have the heart to try and find another GM. I'm 95%/5% Player/GM, so I really haven't run anything in decades.
By the way, that's an incredible gaming table. Wish I'd had one of those back in the day.

I'll say Hoffs, because I feel like you would have mentioned that at some point.
And we have a winner! Johnson, a former Boston Celtic, actually lived in Riverside, CA (the city I grew up in). I saw him one afternoon while hanging out at the mall.
I did not meet Hoffs, but was only one degree removed. My younger brother was friends (and occasional roady with a local band who's members went to our HS. Roxanne was the band. After performing in Hollywood one night, they went to Denny's with the Bangles.

You are correct. I didn't speak to him, but did pass by a few feet away.

Ok, you all have a 50/50 chance now.

I'm guessing Reggie Miller, based on my highly refined and unerringly accurate "Eenie Meanie Miney Moe" algorithm.
EDIT TO ADD: Though it might also be Steve Monroe when factoring in the "My Mother Told Me" variant.
No to both. I was seated in the stands in my HS gym while Reggie and his team were playing against my school's team. His sister Cheryl and his parents were 6 or 8 seats over, and a row down from me.
My younger brother's ex-wife was Steve Monroe's agent in Hollywood, when he attended their daughter's b-day party. He was very personable and funny

Except that's never the lesson taken. The offense NEVER *wants* to kick the FG, they ALWAYS want to go for it unless it's completely unreasonable...like 4th and goal at the 15, or when the game situation demands it. Kicking the FG, when going for the TD or first down is plausible, tells the offense "you can't get it done." The offense's job isn't "move the ball so we can kick the FG" it's "get the ball into the end zone."
Sorry, but I totally disagree. At its most basic level the offense's job is to score points; and the defense's job is to stop the other team's offense from doing same.

RIP Ms. Rice. I think it may be time to revisit Lestat and his friends.

I always looked at it as being a "reformed Roman Catholic". Same thing, though.

The Seachickens were so bad CBS didn't even finish showing the game. I'm glad I DVR sports nowadays, so that I can skip through the crap, which was most of this game.
