  1. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... hmm a good quote... Once at my gaming club we were playing a nice campaign of champions and we were attacked by a giant monkey in a forest somewhere...yes the plot wasn't set very well... anyways, one of the newbies is using the premade ,Gravitron, who obviously controls gravity and decides that making the monkey weightless is best. So the monkey becomes weightless. As the monkey lifts higher into the airand is being pushed by the wind he suddenly increases the gravity right over top of my character thusly killing him. The GM asks why he did that and the newbie replies "the other day he told me that he'd give me 5 bucks if a giant monkey were to fall out of the sky and crush him. fork it over."
  2. Re: Your favorite champions character Must have been good times Duke Bushido. even though there have been only three posts i'd still like to thank everyone. God, we had a newbie play with us this one time and he controlled one of the premades with gravity manipulation. We were inside an office building duking it out with non-supers and he thought it would be best to increase the gravity and destroy the building. The building obviously collapsed and killed everyone except for the character who always seemed to die first. His name was Asp and he was a cyborg that had a wicked danger sense but that was it. (oh and he was addicted to crack cocaine) So in the end Asp went home and snorted a couple of rocks. Very strange day indeed.
  3. I have been going around to my little gaming club and compiling my fellow members favorite characters and what makes them their favorite and was curious on what others people's favorites are. I personally have a Body Control character which i absolutely love. He's the mayor's assistant in the town we play in (the name eludes me right now...) and is jealous that he didn't get elected as mayor. He believes in some sick, twisted form of justice that he thinks only he understands and the only way to get it through to others would be through brutal killings of criminals and heroes alike. He's obviously a villain and usually works alone. I like this character because i had only made goody-good heroes up until this point and it is fun being un-necessarily evil. So please post your replies =3
  4. Re: Poison's Champions Art Thread very very nice work poison. I only wish i could draw this well! noticing that your a gm, like myself, maybe we could trade campaign ideas and the like. I'm running a little dry on plots lately. I also would absolutely love a drawing of my villain that i created a little while back, hint hint. I've tried scouring around the internet looking for a picture that could at least be a rough idea for what he looks like but nothing comes up. =p
  5. Re: Reimagining the Superhero My local GM is a little stingy when it comes to what kind of game we are playing so i have a char. for each of the little genres we play. My first char. was a martial artist type of character with teleportation powers. Basically he was the head of a local martial arts studio and only "Heroed" around at night. He could summon a giant shruiken that when it hit you, teleported you. The only thing that differed from him during night and the day was his hair was midnight black in the day but snow white at night. Whatever he was wearing when he went out was what he fought in, which was usually his gi. The GM wanted my first sort of Champions experience to sit with the very iconic, comic book style of gameplay. It's still the most popular with our little group but we have occasionally played dark champions and the like. I personally don't like the spandex donning heroes/villains. Some of my favorite comic book heroes are ones that never really took on a costume. To put it shortly, this game is about flexibility and you don't need to be confined to the stereotypical super hero. I unfortunately have fallen prey to the hero who is bent on "Finishing the villain" quite often. I would pay to see an "average joe" sort of hero that had an interesting story.
