  1. Ahh... I guess? I don't know Vampire:tM.
  2. That's what it feels like!
  3. Fantastic news on the Strike Force front. I did a high-level search and found PILES of character sheets for the cast of the Circle chapter. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! Also, I am presenting the Circle as seen in Org Book 1, meaning the mid-1980s members, who are all built on a base 300 points.
  4. Okay, I have run The Blood through Google Docs to edit the content and fix errors. The final word count is 34,142 words. This puts the project at 50,091 words so far.
  5. A lot. Like.. on my drive 980 megs or so. In fact, I JUST FOUND character sheets for Cut-Up and Marie Debray, which means I need to go back and update The Blood. And i have searched those folders a LOT.
  6. So, The Circle just became a LOT easier to develop. Sure, Aaron has 43,000 words, but most of that is in character backgrounds I don't need. He did write a complete history, which isn't that long, and I can work with that.
  7. Progress update! The Blood are done. 33712 words! Project total is now 49,661 words!
  8. The level of research I go to: Against All Flags is a 1952 pirate film starring Errol Flynn and Maureen O’Hara. Captain Blood is a 1922 adventure novel, written by Rafael Sabatini. It was made into a film in 1935, starring Errol Flynn as Captain Blood. “In Like Flynn” is a slang phase meaning “having quickly or easily achieved a goal or gained access as desired.” It’s exact origins are not exactly clear. The Black Swan is a 1932 adventure novel, written by Rafael Sabatini. It was made into a film in 1942, starring Tyrone Power and Maureen O’Hara. I have been providing some comments on the material as I go, usually with regards to builds. But that was too good to pass up on.
  9. Okay, so Commodore (of the Blood) has a base named "Safe Harbor" located near "Long Island’s yachting district." A little research show there's a Long Island Yacht Club, in Babylon, New York, which is surrounded by a lot of small islands. Looks like a perfect real world location. Then I noticed the town of Amityville near Babylon. And yes, this is the same Amityville as seen in the "Amityville Horror." I had to mention this in the text and note it makes for a great plot seed for those with supernatural campaigns in mind.
  10. stares at the character sheet for Commodore's ship It has EDM and FTL?
  11. I have no real idea. I mean... I want to present the three groups and then talk to Jason. So.... assume 400-500 words/page and 60,000 words, we're talking a 150-page book. The actually book will probably be 128 pages.
  12. The Blood is at 22,228 words and I am ... 75% through the characters (working on Sala). Once Sala is complete, I have Shade-leader, Tyrkan and family, Warrior, Venguer, Commodore (and his base, ships, agents, and so on), Bloodletter, and any associated Scenarios. 30k words is my estimate. I also estimate around 30k words for the Circle, with a lot of that the history of the organization (Aaron wrote a LOT) about them, If this means no Wanderers, I want to ask Jason about making them a standalone. I also want to ask about present Aaron's martial arts styles as a product.
  13. And this is what reading through the lore can be so much fun: [[SIDEBAR]] DRACULA? Mircea Dracula is the older brother of the vampire Vladislas Dracula and half-brother of Radu Dracula. All three were born in the 1400s and are effectively immortal, possessing either mystic or vampiric powers, or both. Mircea is the heroic one of the trio, with Vladislas the King of the Vampires (and the basis for Vlad Dracula in Bram Stoker’s Dracula), while Radu dwells in a pocket-universe where he engages in hedonistic pleasures. [[END SIDEBAR]]
  14. Anyone who has his digital file archive can find the files I am thinking of. I would need to get the file name, however. PS: The Blood is at over 14200 words and I am about 1/3 way though the assorted NPCs. Then comes some scenarios, and then on to the Circle.
  15. While his handwritten notes are indecipherable, Aaron typed up a LOT of material for his Chronicles and also created a lot of digital files as part of his planned Strike Force Universe series of books. SO, really, I have no idea what happened in the last few games is all. On the other hand, the sheer scale of his Strike Force Universe series of books means there's a lot of gaps where he hadn't gotten around to detailing some aspect of his game.
  16. The Blood have no avatar forms. This is for the Affrighter as seen in Org Book 3.
  17. Yeah, I keep thinking it was only a few years ago, not 8-9.
  18. An update on Strike Force: I am 12,000 words into The Blood, which means I am ~30,000 words into the project. I am developing various Blood NPCs for 6e, which means I am either updating them from Org Book 3, or, I am using files found in Aaron's notes. The fun part... ("fun") is splicing together their backstories and such from various sources. Org Book 3 really only gives the basics, there's a lot more to each of the Blood, and I want to present such things in a proper manner. Oh, 6e Azor is 814 points. 6e Affrighter? 886!
  19. The only character sheet for Azor is the one from Organization Book 3. Granted, updating to HERO 6e proves he's no slouch, but he's not the Azor who transported thousands of people from Earth to Ean. As for Commodore... there is a whole suite of character sheets there -- for him, his vehicles (yes, plural), his base, his crew (I think), and his powered armor corp. Aaron didn't use the DC Miultiverse, he used his own. He borrowed elements from the DC verse, much like he borrowed elements of the Marvel verse. The New Gods, Darkseid, and Apokolips all exist in Earth-AU, specifically (IIRC) in the Chaos/Negative Zone.
  20. The Blood are not the New Gods (Aaron used them elsewhere). They are simply powerful psychics/magicians.
  21. Blind Raisin? Raisin in the Sun?

    Some Armor

Ah! Found it! Here is the armor, and here is someone wearing a recreation of said armor.
  23. Yet another update! The Blood is at 5,000 words but work has slowed slightly as I puzzle out who is who. To explain, the Blood seen in Org Book 3 are not exactly the Blood as they appear in Aaron's game. I don't want to go into too many details (it will spoil the fun of discovery) but the Affrighter's true history reads like something you'd expect of the typical X-man.

    Some Armor

Somewhere on my hard drive, I have a recreation of that armor worn by a person. It looks awkward as heck.
