1. So if you do not to read spoilers, I assume it is unsafe to start reading it before having read Monster Hunter Legion? I was waiting for the book to be published in mass market paperback, but the temptation to start reading the MHIEHRPG is great...
2. Re: Takofanes & Teleios Hi! You can find both of them in Champions Villains Volume One: Master Villains. If you have 5th edition books, Takofanes is in Conquerors, Killers and Crooks, whereas I think Teleios is in Evil Unleashed. Mickael
3. Re: Combat Ready? Could it just be a fancy name for a power? Like the ones in some published material... (or even on some player-made character sheets)
4. Re: And Now for Something Slightly Different: Mis-Spelled and Reimagined Supers Aquamad was a normal boy, until he received superpowers based on water (during a flood in the basement lab of the university). Sadly, in the process he has developped a phobia of water...
5. Re: Teen Fantasy Hero In Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, there is a "school" for Aes Sedai (a kind of witches). That could be an example of a fantasy school. (There is also another later in the book but I don't want to spoil potential readers)
6. Re: And Now for Something Slightly Different: Mis-Spelled and Reimagined Supers Doctor Best Roller -- he is back from death, to win the roller skate contest! The Green Pattern -- an excellent artist, obsessed with the green color... The Punk -- a really big green brick, with a lot of piercings
7. Re: Resistant mental defense? OK, thanks for your answers (I already had eliminated the "does body" advantage as a cause, but hadn't thought about AVAD other than NND). So I think I now can save a few points on my latest character...
8. Hi! Is there a reason to buy resistant mental defense (and the same question could apply to resistant flash and power defenses) other than resisting to a NND [Defense is having some resistant mental defense]? Mickael
9. Re: I can't decide what to run! Which of these sounds fun? Hi! About DragonBall, some characters are available on Susano's website (probably in 5th edition, but the conversion isn't too hard). For very big attacks you may want to use the Megascale advantage.
10. Re: MYTHIC HERO Kickstarter I've done what I can at my level to promote the book, posting about the kickstarter project on the forum of my french PBP website (http://www.liber-mundi.org). I hope this will bring new pledgers... Good luck!
11. Re: Book of the Empress I've managed to download the file without having to install the software on my computer: You have to read the lines under the "Download Dropbox" button. Haven't had time to read it yet, but it seems to be very interesting. Just a little disappointment when I found only black&white pictures in the book, but I guess that delays and costs would have been totally different...
12. Re: Support HERO Indirectly... Nice work! Perhaps it's easier to let people download a single compiled file. Here it is if you don't mind: We are far from the 6-page adventure, but it wouldn't be possible with official character sheets...
13. Re: Destroy Your Geek Cred!! I have never seen any Star Trek movie or episode...
14. Re: Possible HERO System Supplement Kickstarters From Steve -- What Interests You? I would pay 50$ for Mythic Hero (pdf + "real" book), or 25$ just for the pdf (I don't know the possibilities of shipping in Europe from this site). Cyber Hero may also get my attention, but this would be just for a 25$ pdf (I am limited in book storage space...). I hope your project will be possible! Mickael
15. Re: Breakable vs. unbreakable Focus Thanks all for your answers! The problem is that then the focus is easier to get back, so the limitation is less limitating...
16. Hi! In 6E1, under the rules for the Focus limitations, there is an explanation about breakable and unbreakable focuses. It is said that the limitation value is the same, because both solutions have advantages and drawbacks that compensate. I can't see what are the drawbacks for an unbreakable focus that make it cost the same as a breakable one... Have you some ideas on the question? Mickael
17. Re: Looking for a thread about balancing characters I think I'm going to use your guidelines, Tasha, but I like the concept of soft caps given by level of SPD. I'll try to mix the 2 concepts for my players (keeping the average damage around 10 DC for a SPD of 4 or 5)
18. Re: Looking for a thread about balancing characters Exactly! Thank you! Now I understand why I couldn't find it in the Champions thread or in the HERO System Discussion thread
19. Re: Looking for a thread about balancing characters No, it wasn't this one. The poster wrote guidelines organized in paragraphs, one for each "level" of SPD.
20. Hi! Yesterday I've read something with guidelines for each level of Speed, in order to balance characters with different speeds (one with a low speed is allowed greater AP limits, and vice versa). I can't find it anymore, and I don't remember the name of the poster... Was it a dream or can you tell me where to find this post again?
21. Re: Fillable Character Sheet? I do not have the purchasable version of Acrobat, but I can give you the name of a software: PDF XChange Viewer. It's just a viewer, but you can insert text and other stuff then save the document: the changes will be saved and you will be able to view them in your favorite pdf viewer. I only have the demo version, but you can already do a lot of things with this version. It's not as good as a character sheet wich can be filled easily, but it's better than nothing A link found on google.com: http://www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-viewer
22. Re: Help me Populate a Cirque de Hero! What about The Clown? He has strong mind-control powers, to cause extreme fear, or to make people laughing and laughing, until the point where they can't breathe anymore... He could also use some Images, creating nice colored balloons...
23. Re: Comprehensive list of advantages and Limitations For the general advantages, there is a summary list on 6E1 317. You can find the equivalent for the general limitations on 6E1 366. The costs are missing, but it's an easy way to quickly find the appropriate advantage or limitation when you build a power.
24. Re: 6E GM's Screen Pages? Wahou that's great! Are these GM screens designed for 5 sheets at a time, or do you have to switch them during the game?
