Same here. Unfortunately, taking the high road just doesn't work very well in American politics.

EDIT: BTW, the female fighter is none other than Morgan Ironwolf of B/X fame. Also, the surviving characters made it to level 2, hence their overindulgence.

Also here's the table I used.

Today was the funeral for the male human fighter. It was also the wake, which naturally involved a lot of alchohol. I rolled on a table I found online to see how the surviving PCs (three humans and a halfling) woke up.

The fighter (only female in the group) woke up in a ditch after losing a fight.

One cleric woke up tied to a tree, left for dead.

The other cleric woke up in a strange house. A female half-ogre kept calling him "Pet."

The halfling thief woke up in the town square, completely covered with flowers, but otherwise naked.

Where do they go from there?

I currently charge my PCs 10 gp per level. I thought about making it 100 gp per level, but the campaign has turned out to be low-yield in gold and magic.
